DRASTICALLY REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE

The Tartan 27 was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and as a result of her excellent sailing characteristics, strong resale value and popularity over the succeeding years, Tartan sailboats have developed a faithful following.  Shie is a sloop rig, with the original centerboard and a skeg mounted rudder that is known for both performance and stability.  The centerboard is operated from the cockpit and weighs 166 pounds and extends 3'2" below keel when fully extended to down position, but can be winched up and down as needed providing for maximum stability in choppy waters,  (6'4" draft with centerboard down), yet allows easy access to shallower waters, (3'2" draft with centerboard up), where many other sailboats can not go.

Below deck, the Tartan sailboat is designed for sleeping accommodations for five persons.  There are two 6'3" V-berths in the fore cabin, a 6'6"quarter berth to starboard in the main cabin and a double berth of the same length port side.  The head is completely enclosed with framed door in the midship passageway.  Galley is forward of the quarter berth and a has two burner, recessed stove unit that is recessed to provide counter space when not in use.  Large lockers are located below the galley and outboard of the sink area, as well as under all the bunks.  The thoughtful design below deck makes a Tartan an excellent cruiser as well as a comfortable live aboard.

Harmony has undergone extensive renovations over the past several years, to include new electrical, new diesel engine, new head, new GPS, new VHF radio, new portable A/C, fresh bottom paint, new berth cushions and more...  This Tartan is ready for a new owner to join the tartan family, with Tartan owners spanning around the world and reaching across generations.  One reason for such loyalty is that each Tartan is hand-built, one at a time, by some of the finest craftsman and technicians in the marine industry.  You will not find a better built sailboat that a Tartan.   Its classic appearance turns heads everywhere she goes.
