The Beneteau Figaro II is a 'one design' class for offshore yacht racing.  'Hot Socks' is hull number 27 and comes with a stellar racing pedigree.  First campaigned by Sam Davies when sponsored by Skandia, the boat competed in the 2004 AG2R is a 3760 mile transatlantic race from Lorient in France to St Bartholomew in the Caribbean.  Bought by Katie Miller in 2009 the boat competed as 'bluqube' in the 2009 OSTAR single-handed Transatlantic Race making history for Miller as the youngest woman to complete in the OSTAR. Miller joined forces with Matthew Lingley, to co skipper a successful Round Britain and Ireland Race in 2010 in the boat, and later, sponsored by International Yacht Paints, the pair completed the the 1000 Mile Double Handed Race.

This is just a glance at the racing highlights of this fast and fun boat.  There are reportedly only a few Figaro 2's in the U.S, and this is a rare opportunity to get one of these remarkable boats.

Hot socks has been upgraded and well maintained by the current owner, and includes recent new equipment including new Pineapple HydraNet mainsail and jib, also new carbon core batteries to power the extensive onboard electronics systems and autopilot.  Complete with liferaft and EPIRB, Hot Socks is ready for Bay Racing or offshore adventures.
