Manufacturer Provided Description
The innovative Leopard 42 offers the interior space of a much larger yacht without compromising the expansive cockpit and deck space that the Leopard range is renowned for. The three cabin layout features spacious air-conditioned double cabins with en suite heads and showers, U-shaped galley and expanded saloon with breakfast bar and casual seating. Clear deck layout, excellent bunk access and a galley-up design are popular features with cruisers.
AccommodationsSalon and Galley: The Leopard 42ââ¬â¢s interior really maximizes volume. The airy v-shaped salon seats 6 adults comfortably with discrete but spacious storage under the settee cushions. The salon dining table can be upgraded to provide and additional cushioned double berth, or convertible to a casual coffee table from its removable wood topped dining table. An adjacent lighted wine cabinet and wine glass rack add to the cozy atmosphere. Youââ¬â¢ll appreciate the galley layout which has soft curves and Corian countertops throughout, fans, overhead hatch and forward port lights provide excellent ventilation. Fixed windows and doors make for a wonderful near 360 degree view of the Harbor.
The NAV Station with instrumentation and electrical panels is situated to starboard with flip top chart table, reading light, lower cabinetry for storage and an overhead cabinet providing access to the steering station wiring. The companionway to the Master Suite is starboard of the Nav Station and can be closed off with a folding door and sliding beech wood cover for complete privacy.
General:
- Oceanair sliding screen/shade on all hatches
-
Accordion shades on all 7 salon/galley windows
-
Lewmar screens on all port lights
-
Light and bright beech wood finish throughout
-

Master Stateroom: The starboard hull is entirely dedicated to the Owner, with a spacious private cabin, study/office area, separate head, shower room and laundry facilities. A large storage area is forward of the enclosed stall shower. Located aft, the Master Stateroom features a queen berth with side access, a convenient bedside locker, a hanging wardrobe and plenty shelving for clothing and personal items. Four port lights and an overhead hatch provide excellent lighting and ventilation. Amidship incorporates a study / office area. The desk has document storage space, a reading light, overhead cabinet and book shelf, as well as a dedicated locker opposite. This area is currently used as a SSB radio station and stand up chart table. The ensuite head, mirrored vanity and Corian sink and enclosed shower stall are located forward. A dedicated locker over the head houses the washer/dryer combo.
Guest Staterooms: Located in the port hull each guest cabin features a large double berth, overhead lighting, adjustable reading lamps and full size hanging lockers with shelving. A large overhead hatch with blind and screen and numerous port lights provide excellent ventilation. The forward guest cabin provides a forward single berth as well more storage capability. Each guest cabin has its own ensuite head with all the amenities including mirrored vanity, head, and shower.
Cockpit and Deck: Drop-leaf table to port with cushioned seating for 6 or more. L-shaped seating to starboard along with double helmsman seating with opening Skylight over helm seat. Double door entry to salon with no see em screen. The mainsheet traveler is positioned overhead on the desirable factory installed hardtop with 3 new (12/2016) 327 watt solar panels. Access to the aft deck from the cockpit can be gated and life-lined to ensure child or pet safety allowing safe and easy walk through access from the cockpit to the aft platform, great for swimming or boarding the dingy. Relax with the spray and the sun on the trampoline between the bows or admire the view from the 2 forward pulpit seats. Louvre slats fitted over the sloping salon windows facilitate access to the roof and provide shade in the main salon. Hardtop bimini provides a stable platform for access to the boom.

ConstructionRobertson and Caine use the most advanced composite GRP sandwich construction incorporating a vacuum bonded balsa core, providing high compression and impact resistance. E Glass stitched fabric provides maximum strength and ensures a very good resin to glass ratio. The hull joints are solid fiberglass. The hull deck joint is bonded and through bolted, with additional glass at strategic stress points. Bulkheads are bonded to the hull. Isophthalic gelcoat and resin rich tissue improves resistance to hydrolysis and helps prevent osmosis.
