Design PhilosophyIntuitive and responsive handling; an unparalleled level of fit and finish above and below deck; these are some of the features that set the Sabre 362 apart from other sailing yachts in her class. She is a moderate displacement yacht, designed to provide a comfortable seakindly ride and a high level of performance regardless of wind and sea conditions. A moderate and well balanced sailplan allows her to be easily handled by a couple. The Sabre 362 is one of three remarkable designs created by the Sabre Design Team in collaboration with Jim Taylor Yacht Design. All three yachts have won the prestigious Cruising World Boat of the Year competition in their year of introduction. The Sabre 362 won Cruising Worlds prestigious Boat of the Year award in 1994.
AccommodationsThis is a perfect layout for a cruising couple of family and makes great use of the available space. Two private staterooms, forward and aft, allow for plenty of privacy. Each cabin has a seat, hanging locker and good storage throughout. The forward stateroom has its own sink and vanity which frees up the aft head when there are multiple users. The main salon has a single settee on port and a single settee to starboard which can be converted into a double bed. There is a full width teak folding dining table which mounts up and out of the way on the bulkhead when not in use and can be swung down for half or full width utilization. A bottle/wine/magazine rack is concealed against the bulkhead when table is folded down.
The owners stateroom features a large vee-berth, and a vanity sink with wood framed mirror and seat. The V-berth mattress is custom made Spring Mattress New in 2013. To port is a large cedar lined hanging locker. A deck hatch and two opening ports provide light and air to this comfortable space.
Salon cushions and upholstery are New 2015 and are tan leather. The chart table/navigation station is aft of the port settee and is aft facing for good communication with the helm. Chart storage beneath table and plenty of room on the vertical surface for additional electronics displays.
The Sabre 362 offers a spacious head with separate shower stall. This is a one piece fiberglass unit which is both practical and easy to maintain. A bi-fold door separates the shower from the head compartment. A cedar-lined hanging locker is another reminder of the quality of this yacht's fit and finish.
The private aft cabin provides a comfortable space beneath theyacht's cockpit sole. Storage spaces are found here for all of the gear that you and your crew have brought along. A cedar-lined hanging locker is another reminder of the quality of this yacht's fit andfinish.
Interior wood work is cherry and of the highest quality.
Good ventilation with Hella 12 V dc fans, opening ports and hatches and excellent 12 V dc lighting throughout.
Main SalonFew sailing yachts are built to as high a level of fit and finish as the Sabre 362. Woodworking details, rarely found in even high priced custom yachts, abound in her luxurious interior. Dovetailed drawer boxes, louvered cabinet doors and beautifully sculpted laminated trims, demonstrate Sabre's skills and commitment to quality craftsmanship. To port is an aft facing chart table at the aft end of a 6'4"long settee. Ample space is provided for today's sophisticated navigational electronics. To starboard is an L-Shaped settee with fold up, bulkhead mounted table. When opened, the leaf reaches to the port settee creating a large table for all the crew and guests. With the table folded up on to the bulkhead the salon becomes a large and comfortable space in which to socialize or to relax with a good book.
GalleyThe galley is well designed for an active cruising family. A double stainless steel sink with single lever mixing faucet is situated close to the centerline, so that it remains usable while underway. A deep and well insulated ice box is found outboard of the sinks and a there is an additional front opening door. There is ample space for your stores outboard and above the counter. A propane stove and oven with stainless steel safety bar is located at the aft corner of the galley space.
The Galley is to starboard aft and is well equipped with loads of storage.

Hull and DeckWalk forward on deck and feel the security of the Sabre 362s anti-slip surface, the high lifelines and the strong stainless steel stanchions and rails. The wooden toe rail keeps water from staining the topsides of the hull and provides a secure footing as you walk on the heeled deck surface. Note too the inboard placement of the chainplates which provide closer sheeting angles and an uncluttered deck surface.
The hull of the Sabre 362 is built using vinylester resin and balsa core for stiffness. Thirty years of producing high quality fiberglass hulls and decks has taught us that careful design and application are critical to the integrity and durability of our yachts. The ergonomics and the details of the Sabre 362 deck are carefully thought out. Take a seat in this cockpit and note how the seat backs feel just right. Place your feet on the coaming opposite and you will see why we don't stuff our cockpits with picnic tables and other obstructions. This is, first and foremost, a yacht to be sailed.
Sit at the Comfort Gripwheel and note the contoured helm seat which will keep you safe and secure when it's your turn to steer. You may have trouble wrestling the wheel away from the other members of the crew. From the helm position all of your sails are clearly visible. Trim your sails to get each and every knot out of your boat.
