There is plenty of room for seating and relaxing on the bridge. There is even a Summer Kitchen option providing a grill, sink and icemaker aft of the centerline helm. Wide molded steps offer safe and secure footing to the covered aft deck. Going forward, there are wide, lighted and recessed walkways with overhead protection leading to the foredeck. A stainless steel Sampson post and dual roller pulpit is perfect for setting the anchor and the optional windlass makes retrieval a snap. All rails, hatches and portlights are now fashioned from 316L stainless steel for easy maintenance and great looks. For 2003, all Mainships, including the new 400, are featuring beautiful cherry wood interiors. All cabinets, drawers and tables are solid cherry and the optional cherry and holly sole is very traditional as well as serviceable. The extended salon includes an Ultra leather( sofa, entertainment center with Bose( audio system, and Luce( flat screen TV. A starboard side galley offers a full size, dual voltage refrigerator and freezer, microwave, 3-burner range and oven, and even a coffee maker. Special attention has been given to general and dishware storage and the location for an under counter trash receptacle. To port of the lower station is a full dinette that seats four with a comfortable bench and two chairs. Forward, is a master stateroom with a centerline inner spring queen berth and plenty of hanging, drawer and locker storage. A second stateroom offers two single berths and an optional innovative desk arrangement, and the head, with a separate stall shower is accessible from the master stateroom or the companionway.
Vessel Walk-ThroughUsing the convenient overhead grab hold, and cockpit step, or the swim platform, and transom door, you access the large, safe, covered cockpit area and walk through double doors into the main salon, or up molded in fiberglass stairs to the large flybridge. The wide side decks are protected by a salon overhang, and are lit by courtesy, and overhead lights. The heavy gauge stainless steel side rails offer secure access to the bow from either the cockpit, or from the opening starboard side helm door.
SalonThe salon of the Mainship 400 offers a large cream ultra-leather convertible sofa to port which is aft of the 4 person fixed dinette table. To starboard is the inside helm station, large galley, flat screen TV, and stereo DVD/CD system. The armored glass double doors open to the, same level, protected cockpit, which incorporates a hidden slide out screen door. A forward opening window, and side windows allow for excellent ventilation while not using the dual 12,000/16,000 BTU touch pad air conditioning system.

GalleyThe galley, located up to starboard, has dual stainless steel sinks, Corian counter tops, Princess 3 burner electric stove/oven, built in GE microwave, built in coffee maker, and the large stand up refrigerator, and freezer. The rich cherry wood cabinets offer excellent storage in, and above the L-shaped counters.

DinetteThe dinette area, which is new to the Mainship 400 design, is located forward to port in the main salon. The bench seat, with two movable chairs, offers comfort for four, and also doubles as a large chart table. The sliding side windows, double glass opening cockpit doors, and three forward windows allow for space, and light not found in many designs.
Master StateroomThe master stateroom is forward, and contains a large queen berth with innerspring mattress, private access to the head, excellent storage, opening deck hatch, and opening port lights. The width of the queen berth does not compromise shoulder, or foot comfort, and also contains under berth storage.

HeadThe head area has dual access doors, electric head, vanity, and sink, as well as a large stall shower. The design of the head allows for good dry storage, and comfortable use of the shower even while underway. The opening hatch, and port provides for good ventilation, and light.

Lower HelmThe lower helm area, to starboard, has a deck access door for ease of line handling, and visibility, as well as the standard Mainship control panel to include the Side Power Bow Thruster, trim tabs, and ship's systems gauges. The visibility from this station is excellent due to the expanse of forward, side, and aft windows. Under the teak and holly helm sole is an additional storage area.

CockpitThe cockpit is yet another protected living area that flows through double opening doors into the main salon. A large, secure, water tight, deck hatch allows access to the generator, thru hull valves, sea strainer, hydraulic steering, strut bolts, rudder post, trim tab motor, as well as additional storage. The swim platform, which is equipped with St.Croix dinghy storage brackets, is accessed through a transom door.
Hull & DeckUSA built trawler. The anchor locker has dual opening hatches, Chain, coupled to the Delta Plow anchor, which is mounted on the bow pulpit, and deployed, and retrieved by the electric windlass which is controlled by dedicated foot switches, or remote helm switches.

Electrical SystemThe electrical system is well thought out, and offers multiple choices of use. The forward, and aft shore power, cable tv, and phone outlets allow easy dockside hookup whether bow, or stern to the dock. The Xantrex 3000 Watt inverter converts your multiple 4D batteries to 110 volt DC current, if you prefer not to run the Kohler 8 KW generator located aft in a hush box for quiet operation, Gen set has 862 hours.
Engine RoomThe engine room is accessed through 2 large sound insulated cabin sole hatches allowing easy maintenance of engine components, internal sea strainers, last drop stuffing box, ship's batteries, and thru hull valves. There is also easy access to the dual aluminum fuel tanks, hoses, and wiring. The fore and aft fiberglass stringers between the engine, and fuel tanks provides additional storage room in a secure location.

FlybridgeThe flybridge is accessed by molded in fiberglass stairs which offers safe, and secure passage for children, pets, or adults. Once on the flybridge, you will be treated to 6 ft. long side seating, a centerline grab rail that converts to a table, and additional seating forward outboard of the comfortable helm seat. Further aft of the retractable radar mast is the "summer galley" containing a wet bar, U-line icemaker, and a propane grille. There is also a fixed round table, and plenty of room for additional deck chairs. The entire aft deck, and stairway entrance is surrounded by heavy gauge stainless steel rails for safe, and secure enjoyment of the open air lounge area.
