Vessel Walk Thru
The Bertram 38 MKIII is known as a very cruisey sport fishing boat and her current owner has found her to be just that. With an abundance of natural light and ventilation and at the salon/galley level warmly finished with varnished teak she is certainly a pleasant vessel to spend time on. 6'-5" headroom throughout with carpeted soles. Well thought out 12 volt lighting throughout. When natural ventilation is not sufficient, the vessel is equipped with two reverse cycle (heat & cool) air conditioning units. When heat alone is required and the generator is not desired, the vessel is fitted with an Espar diesel cabin heat system.
On entering the Salon from the cockpit the large straight Galley is to starboard featuring Formica topped counters with large single basin stainless steel sink and a great deal of storage in several lockers and drawers. Cooking is handled on the Princess 3 burner electric stove with oven and quick re-heats via the microwave while chilled food stuffs are easily managed using the Norcold dual voltage refrigerator/freezer. There is a large 2nd top load freezer in the cockpit.
The Salon space is to port with a convertible sofa aft, high low pedestal table and barrel chair and ottoman. Storage and the yachts electrical distribution panels are under the side deck to port.
Down 4 steps to the staterooms and head. The Master Stateroom is furthest forward with a "King" sized V-berth with filler with 7 drawers below. There is access to the anchor locker forward and aft and to starboard is a bureau with drawers and hanging locker outboard.
The Guest Stateroom is next aft and to port with upper and lower single berths. There is storage under the lower berth and in a locker forward.
Opposite to starboard is the Head with Separate Stall Shower. The head features and electric W.C., vanity with porcelin sink and storage in a locker above and below and a separate stall shower with seat, draining to a separate sump.
Out on deck the Bertram 38 MK III is equally well thought out with a large cockpit with fighting chair, afore mentioned freezer forward and bait station/storage forward and to port. There is under deck storage space in lockers P&S as well as in three lazarettes. Access to the flying bridge forward and to starboard. Wide side decks with convenient hand holds lead forward.
The Flying Bridge provides seating for up to six with a center helm stations with Capt. and Navigator's Pompanettes aft and bench seat forward. All Navionics are located at the helm station.
