In sail away condition, this very popular cruiser has a newer Yanmar Diesel (2002 with less than 100 hours), new interior cushions, barrier coated in 2002, basic electronics, serious ground tackle, full battened main with Lazy Jacks and everything needed to cruise away today.  She will sleep 5 comfortably and has a practical cockpit layout for user friendly cruising.  This Pearson 323 is a sloop rig with fin keel, skeg rudder and keel stepped mast.

Not only does she have the optional diesel power, she was repowered in 2002 with a 27 HP Yanmar, V-drive, and new engine mounts, shaft, cutlass bearing and dripless shaft seal.  The engine has less than 100 hours. She has basic electronics with a compass, autopilot and VHF Radio.

Down below port-side stern she has a nice galley with ice box, alcohol stove and pressure cold water sink.  To starboard aft there is a chart table, book shelf and storage locker.  Going forward on the starboard side there is a nice U-shaped dinette that converts to a double berth.  Opposite on the port side is a settee/single berth.  All the way forward is a private V-berth, storage, bureau and shelves.  Just aft of the forward cabin is the head with a hanging locker opposite on the port side.  She has shore power. Autopilot.  Her sail inventory consists of a full battened mainsail with Lazy Jacks, 150 Genoa, 130 Genoa, and spare sails.  She is in excellent condition for her age and she is ready to go.

Additional information from Sounding Online:

The Pearson 323 was produced by Pearson Yachts in Portsmouth, R.I., from 1976 through 1983. It was designed by Bill Shaw, who was chief designer of the America’s Cup defender Columbia while he was with Sparkman & Stephens. The 323 was designed as a comfortable, seaworthy and stylish cruising boat. As Shaw himself says, a boat should be “safe, attractive and a delight to sail.” The formula worked; 385 Pearson 323s were built during its 8-year production run. Pearson Yachts closed in 1991, later emerging as TPI (Tillotson-Pearson) Composites, then as Pearson Composites. Today, it’s known as the Pearson Marine Group, of Warren, R.I., the builder of True North, Alerion and North Rip boats.
