This Glenn Henderson design may be the perfect boat for couples and families who want to weekend and take extended vacations.

"Sail Magazines" “Top Ten” & "Cruising World’s" “Best Cruising Boat under $200,000” in 2002, the boat is perhaps the perfect melding of stability, performance, comfort, and contemporary styling. The wide hull caries the beam aft, keeping it stable while providing the space to make it roomy and comfortable with lots of storage space below decks and topsides. The hull has a special “reflex” feature near the transom that minimizes drag allowing the boat to slip through the water effortlessly. The 4’11” deep reverse “L” lead bulb keel gets the maximum amount of weight down to keep the boat on its feet in a big breeze.

Down below, The “U” shaped galley is loaded with conveniences. It features a large “Ice Box” with separate refrigeration and freezer space, “gimbaled” propane stove and oven, and microwave, complete the cooking facility for even the “Gourmet Galley Chef.” All the expected cabinets, drawers and even a spice rack are included, and the storage beneath the sink has a sliding shelf to accommodate pots and pans with ease.

Your guests may never want to leave the forward stateroom. The berth is 6’ 6,” comfortable for adults. A week’s worth of clothing for two can easily fit in the twin hanging lockers, shelves and cabinet, all constructed of beautifully finished teak. The massive deck hatch keeps it bright and airy during the day while a louvered opening port in the bulkhead opens to the salon keeping that feeling at night as well as maintaining privacy.

Again the wide beam provides plenty of space. The two-panel windshield, deck hatch, four fixed ports and two opening ports create an open, airy feeling. The dinette seats five and easily converts to a berth when needed. Outboard storage is everywhere. The opening Nav table provides space for a chartbook and is loaded with storage underneath including shelves and cubby holes. The 6’ 7” settee is ready as a 5th berth. The soft “whisper” headliner saves over 600 lbs in the deck construction and is also attractive.

The aft stateroom features plenty of space and storage with a padded headboard, Twin nightstands, opening storage bins, dual reading lamps, two 110 outlets and one 12 volt receptacle, and a fixed port and opening hatch above the headboard.

The head features a head/shower compartment separated from the Corian covered vanity by frosted acrylic panels that allow light to permeate the entire area. Opening ports are also frosted for privacy. The shower compartment has a drained wet locker for fowl weather gear. All surfaces are molded fiberglass for easy cleaning.

The wide decks allow for easy crew movement and are low maintenance, teak confined to a pair of wonderful stern-rail seats integrated from the S/S arch that has the traveler mounted to it. Long S/S handrails are mounted port & starboard. Four Lewmar self-tailing winches are mounted on the coach roof for sheet, outhaul, vang and main-furler handling.

At 7 feet long, the cockpit is large enough for a big crew or entertaining while dockside. The portside Maxi-locker sometimes called “The Brig,” is large enough to hold an inflatable or just about any gear you’d carry.
