Interior
The interior of the C&C 40 Moonrise is fitted out in varnished teak, with the additional detail of a custom-made cherry main cabin dining table. There have been many intelligent and professionally executed upgrades to the layout to enhance aesthetics and increase stowage throughout.
Starting forward is the V berth. It is generous in size, with a filler cushion, and has nice storage below. Full length shelves outboard with pin-rail will hold a summer's worth of reading material and more.
A large hanging locker with shelves is aft of the V berth, to starboard.
Aft and to port is the head with toilet, sink, faucets and hand-held shower, all new in 2010.
In the main cabin of the C&C 40 is an L-shaped settee to port with excellent custom storage outboard and a custom cherry table in the middle on adjustable pedestals which converts to a double berth. To keep things toasty and dry on less than perfect days is a Luke soapstone wood burning fireplace. There is a straight settee to starboard and additional custom storage outboard. Settee cushions are upholstered in attractive dark green micro-suede fabric. Back pillows are upholstered in dark green velvet.
Further aft and to port is the nav station with extra-large chart table, Furuno radar, compass, barometer and clock.
Aft of the nav station is the quarter berth, and inboard, a storage locker with shelves and companionway.
To starboard is the galley with ice box, three burner CNG stove with oven and broiler, and stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water. Below the sink is storage and a manual fresh water foot pump.
