Accommodations and Layout

The 55 Cabrio model shares the same hull and length of the 56 Hardtop Express Cruiser.  The Cabrio is the latest model of the popular Neptunus express cruiser line…offering a hardtop with a helm and lounge area which flows out to a large aft deck .…making this an outstanding layout for entertaining.

Starting at the aft deck, a settee (seats 6)  with a split cherry wood table faces forward with an ice maker to port and grill /wet bar forward to starboard.  The aft deck is separated from the hard top enclosed area by an EZ2CY sliding hard enclosure which can be opened or closed off.  Note that the hard top offers a sliding sunroof and air-conditioned (or heated) comfort.  A circular settee for up to 6 is located to starboard with a convertible cherry wood pedestal table.  To port is a full length cabinet area.  The helm area to starboard features twin helm seating.

Moving below decks via a sliding doorway to port and down a few steps…the salon area features an L-shaped galley area tastefully finished with cherry wood paneling to port.   Another U-shaped settee with a cherry wood pedestal table is found on the starboard side. Forward is a custom backlit etched glass whale scene panel.   

Aft of the salon are two staterooms (double berth to starboard and single twin to port) which share a common bath.

Forward of the salon is the master stateroom which features a centerline queen bed and private bath. 

Note that that the interior décor features beige/white flecked avonite countertops (galley and baths),  gloss-finished cherry wood cabinetry tastefully paired with off-white vinyl panels, maple laminate flooring in salon/galley and beige pile carpeting in the staterooms.  The window treatments are Douglas Hunter shades.  Staterooms offer cedar-lined hanging closets and plenty of cabinet storage.

 The baths feature elegant and roomy styling with upgraded Headhunter heads, mirrored vanities, marble flooring and large stall showers with tempered glass doors .

Galley

An L-shaped galley  with an avonite countertop to port in the salon area, features a double stainless steel sink, pantry storage above/below  below and maple laminate flooring .

Engine Room and Mechanical Systems

A full beam engine room with a fuel tank forward running athwartships (sight tubes) is accessed via the transom settee through a lazarette area and a separate door (with window).  Note that there is plenty of room to access machinery and systems (unlike similar express models).  This boat runs extremely quite at the helm due to the well-muffled exhaust system and the heavy duty insulation in the engine room.

Twin CAT 3406E 800 hp diesel power with CAT electronic controls (plus redundant back up controls)  and CAT electronic monitors.  Note that the 3406E is one of the best and reliable in-line 6 cylinder engines ever produced!

Remarks

"A Bklyn Tale" offers  the desirable options in the Cabriolet version of the popular Neptunus express series. The Neptunus is an extremely well-built yacht from Canada with terrific hull design and handsome styling both inside and out.

Features include an air-conditioned hard top helm area with a large windshield/side panels for easy viewability and an enclosure to the aft deck which can be slid open to make for one large entertaining deck.

Important options include a hydraulic swim platform (which can carry a RIB or PWC), a sliding sunroof, full Raymarine electronics package w/XM weather, bow thruster, satellite tv and reliable CAT power/controls. 

Note that the 15'11" beam offers exceptional volume over other comparable express cruisers!

The layout is a custom 3 stateroom version with the master stateroom forward and two cabins aft which is desirable for families or extra guests.
