"CRUZAN" IS Amid a sea of similar yachts but emerges as the best Com-Pac 27. From conception to launching rarely has a yacht come together as well as our Com-Pac 27. Bob Johnson, created on paper just what the manufacture asked for — no surprises, and we are pleased. You will be pleased as well. Built in traditional Hutchins style with bronze ports, deck hardware, and extensive teak interior, she will delight the eye of experienced and beginning sailors.

The Com-Pac 27 is fast. She tracks straight, maneuvers tightly, and swiftly accelerates before a puff. Her balanced ends offer agile performance even in light air. She turns within her own length and motors as well as she sails.

The 6' 10" cockpit with port and starboard seat lockers also has wet storage under a contoured helmsman’s seat. Wide decks and cabin top provide plenty of room for sail handling or just lounging in the sun.

The Com-Pac 27’s expansive interior allows 6' 1" standing headroom, five berths and large enclosed head with standard hot water shower. A full galley, hanging locker and loads of storage space helps to satisfy the needs of a cruising family. Two large hatches and eight opening ports ensure ample ventilation and a bright, airy atmosphere below.

The two cylinder, fresh water cooled diesel or the powerful sail plan with roller furling Genoa smoothly propels our cruiser through crowded harbors or across open water. The Com-Pac 27’s predictability assures safe passages as much as her obedient behavior assures performance. The Com-Pac 27 has a large cockpit and an expansive interior, with over 6' of standing headroom, hot-water shower, and ample ventilation.

BROKER REMARKS: "The trend these days seems to be 'To bigger and bigger boats'. But don't tell that to the people at the Hutchins Company, Inc. who build the Com-Pac line of small sailboats - they almost can't build boats fast enough to meet the demand."
Big boat styling in a small boat package, contemporary-traditional. The Com-Pac 27 was introduced back in 1986 and still remains in production today. “CRUZANâ€? has an expansive interior with 6'1" standing head room, abundant teak, bronze ports and gleaming chrome. This little beauty has been well cared for and will be greatly missed by her owner. The Com-Pac 27 has all the features and amenities of sailboats that are much larger and much more expensive to own and maintain. CRUZANâ€? can take you and family for a day outing or on a long coastline cruise. Headroom of 6'2'' provides a spacious cabin without the closed-in feeling. Six brass ports and cabin hatch supply plenty of ventilation.
