Vessel Walkthrough
Starting forward in the guest stateroom, we have a queen sized berth laid to port, parquet flooring, a mirror forward covering the chain locker, a hatch above, windows to port and starboard with curtains, full length locker storage to port, a beautiful matched bedding set, JVC color TV and Hitachi VCR, a half-height hanging locker to starboard and a convenience seat.
The guest head is accessed through the guest berth or the companionway. It has a single stainless steel sink, large mirror, and a large stall shower with convenience seat, VacuFlush head, and volume storage below the counter.
Moving aft and to port we find the extra large C-shaped convertible dinette settee with tan leatherette upholstery, volume and drawer storage below the seats. There is a full engine gauge package with voltage meters, amp meters, water temperature gauges, three oil pressure gauges, a Sea Power Technology generator/inverter and battery maintenance system, shore power and generator switches within easy reach.
Across to starboard is the gourmetâs delight C-shaped galley with a full sized refrigerator and freezer, extra deep double stainless steel sinks, chrome single handle faucet, large Sharp Carousel II convection/microwave oven, Princess three-burner electric stove, electric oven and parquet flooring.
Moving up three steps and aft into the spacious salon, we find an L-shaped convertible leatherette settee to starboard, walls covered with a beautiful contemporary snakeskin with matching accent pillows, and textured sculptured carpeting in a combination loop and plush. Continuing aft is a brass ships barometer and tide indicator. To port is the large JVC color television with Hughes Direct TV control box, Bose theater amp & sound system, Onkyo digital Dolby DVD video player, Onkyo AM/FM receiver, and Navigator PC with Maptech software and KDS 13 inch flat panel monitor for navigation from the salon. Also to port is a beautifully upholstered snakeskin-like barrel chair and the sub-woofer for the Bose theater surround sound system. The light and bright salon has large windows with wood blinds to port and starboard, and a U-Line ice maker. Aft of the salon is the electrical control panel, generator control and monitoring panel.
Down three steps to port is the captainâs quarters which features an island queen berth with plenty of room on either side, indirect lighting, a vanity table with stool and lighted mirrors to port, JVC color television, Hitachi VCR, Furuno FS-1502SSB single side band transceiver, Alden Faxmate II Facsimile Recorder weather fax, a large hanging locker, cupboard storage above the berth, very large âhis and hersâ? full height hanging lockers forward, and contemporary decorative panels to starboard.
There is a mirrored sliding door to the en suite head with a VacuFlush toilet, single stainless steel sink with volume storage below, mirrors, an extra large stall shower with convenience seat, and is nicely decorated with matching wall coverings and trim.
The engine room has hard sound shield, Twin Caterpillar 3208 Turbo 435 hp engines with fresh water cooling, Kohler 15 kW hard sound shield fresh water cooled generator with 2,991 hours and a Racor fuel filter, a True Charge 40 amp battery charger, Fireboy 1301 automatic halon system, two 8D batteries and two 4D batteries, battery isolator switch, dripless shaft logs, Racor filters with drip shields, sea strainers, automatic oil change system, new fiberglass hot water tank, an HRO 600 gallon per day watermaker with fresh water flush system and an ozonator to sanitize, Ametek heavy duty fresh water filter, numerous bilge pumps and ventilation blowers. The backup 10 kW Sea Power generator system runs off of the engines to eliminate the need to run the main generator when underway. It runs the entire vessel when off idle.
Moving up to the air conditioned helm area there is seating for approximately ten with a separate Captainâs chair and triple wide mate seat, heavy duty eisinglass, and a hard top. At the helm is a full engine gauge package including FloScan meters, 6 inch Ritchie compass, Guest spotlight controls, Simpson Lawrence anchor windlass control, Vetus bow thruster controller, Interface Pilot Loran, Bennett BPI, Azimuth 1000 KVH, Furuno CH28 radar monitor, Furuno FCB2-281 color video sounder, Furuno GP-1850D color DGPS plotter, Navigator PC with Maptech software, Bennett trim tab control, Cetrek remote control autopilot, Furuno 48 mile radar unit, Radar Sonics forward probing sonar with adjustable beam widths, ICOM VHF radio/hailer, a Clarion Marine AM/FM cassette stereo with six CD changer, plus plenty of storage in the helm below the forward seat and drawers forward. There is removable carpeting on the helm and aft deck. This vessel gives new meaning to âfull electronics package!â?
We move down three steps to the large, nicely decorated and well-lit aft deck covered with a hard top which supports the tender with a fold flat UMT davit, a full enclosure, wing doors, and a wet bar with U-Line refrigerator with ice maker.
Exiting the aft deck through a transom door, we access curved stairs to the spacious cockpit which has in-deck storage, a refrigerator/freezer in the sole and padded coaming. A second transom door opens to the large swim platform. The cockpit extension on this vessel, originally a Carver 440, was designed by Krogen with assistance from Carver, and was later used in Carverâs 50 foot model with statistics supplied by Krogen.
Hip height railings surround the entire vessel. Forward is a cushioned sun pad, railing storage for bumpers, Simpson Lawrence windlass with controls on the bow and at the helm, a large plow anchor, search lights to port and starboard, and sun screen and covers for protection when not cruising. The portable dock stairs have five steps and a handrail.
