The J/24 is easy to sail and makes it a great club-racer, day sailer, or weekender.  J Boats has a great reputation for racing and sailing and created the J/24 to fulfill the diverse needs of recreational sailors such as cruising, one design racing, day sailing, and handicap racing.  The J/24 Sailboat is J Boats’ longest and best selling offshore water product.  The J/24’s popularity makes it the second largest one-design keelboat class in the world.

The J-24 has a non-skid deck for better traction, less wood for easier maintenance (J-24 sailors prefer to sail), precise keel placement, the latest deck layout for optimum sailing efficiency, and a one-piece hull mould, and faired blades, to reduce race preparation time. J-24 stands the test of time. A well-prepared 1979 model, built to the same shape and weight with rigid, Baltek-cored construction, can still win the worlds, even after 30,000 miles of trailering. J-24 is for everyone, age 12 to 80, no matter what their style: racing, daysailing, or cruising. Her flared topsides make her dry on deck. Her "weekender" cabin makes it possible to get warm on cold days, and she can be sailed easily by one person with only the mainsail. The international J-24 is the only offshore one-design sanctioned for world competition.

This racing sailboat needs a little TLC but its a great price to get into racing.  All serious offers considered.  An outboard engine and a trailer is available but not included in the price. However, everything is negotiable.  The PHRF rating is 174.
