38' Ocean Yachts 38 Super Sport Convertible Boats

This Ocean Yachts 38’ Super Sport is arguably one of the prettiest 38-40’ Sport Fishing boats ever built. This “Jersey Style” boat was delivered new to the Great Lakes and has spent her life on fresh water and stored in heated comfort in the winter. She has been used mostly as a family cruising boat and she shows little wear or abuse from fishing. With a recent refit she boasts flawless varnish and a fresh polish and wax on the exterior and the interior looks like she just came from the builder. Although this boat has everything she needs to be a hardcore battlewagon this Ocean has led a quiet life as a family cruising boat. The cockpit of the boat is quite large and perfect for fishing or entertaining. The teak soled cockpit can accommodate a table and 4 deck chairs, or a crowd of fisherman. The built in freezer / icebox and tackle storage as well as the in floor fish boxes mean that even though she has plenty of room for fish or cruising gear. With economical 454 CID gasoline power she will troll all day long without making your guests sick from the diesel soot ( or the Captain sick from repair bills) and then be ready to run fast, back to the dock, for the cruiser she has the peace of mind of having parts and service availability unrivaled by any other marine engine package. The boat cruses at 25 mph and tops out over 30 mph. The sea kindly hull will handle even the roughest of days on the Great Lakes with ease and the enclosed bridge will keep the Captain and crew dry and comfortable no matter what the weather. The full electronics package includes a color Raymarine radar / plotter, with the ability to overlay the radar on the electronic chart, a Raymarine fishfinder, a new Raymarine Autopilot, VHF, and full engine instrumentation as well as a new Fusion stereo. The electronics on this boat are ready to go, no need to spend time and money refitting out outdated electronics.

The interior of boat has the larger salon with the “Galley Down” layout making her perfect for entertaining. The large Salon can host a crowd in air conditioned comfort while the galley stays free for cooking in the new microwave /convection oven or on the princess electric stove. The full size refrigerator and cavernous storage allow the yacht to hold stores for a large party or an extended cruise.  The flat screen television and high end stereo in addition to the wet bar and ice maker mean that you and your guests will be well entertained. The full head with enclosed shower has been refit and looks brand new with the Corian counter top and electric head. The reverse cycle air conditioning /heat and the new 20 gallon hot water heater will ensure that you and your guests are comfortable no matter what the weather.   The queen size berth in the master stateroom has plenty of storage and its own separate heat and air conditioning control.  The couch in the main salon pulls out to form two full size beds for additional guests or to accommodate a family.
