Hull & DeckFiberglass hull with some closed cell foam in the forward quarters of the boat for panel stiffness and weight reduction. The hull is built in a single unit with encapsulated lead ballast and full skeg mounted rudder. In 2003 the entire hull was stripped and re-gel coated. This is a more expensive and superior finish and process as compared to Awlgrip or other multi part linear polyurethane finishes. The bottom was barrier coated at that time, the teak deck removed and the house and water ways etc. re-gel coated and all deck hardware removed and re-bedded. New teak decks were laid and the house tops when refinished were done with Awlgrip with grip-tex in appropriate non-skid areas.
Custom Cheoy Lee off white/cream gel coat topsides with custom red/cream/red/gold boot top and gold cove stripe. The bottom is finished in a hard red epoxy anti fouling and has been kept well sanded and fair. bottom paint is done and ready for the 2015 season!
Fiberglass cored decks with a 7/16" teak overlay on the side decks, all exposed fiberglass was re-finished as noted above in 2003 and decks were new at that time as well. Teak trim with Cetol clear finish.
It is important to note that the owner lives out of country and the typical year was to have her launched in late June whereupon they would come to the US and cruise for 2 weeks to a month and then have the boat hauled and laid back up in inside storage since 2003 her lay-ups have been in inside heated storage! And on some years they have not launched her. She was last fully commissioned for the 2012 season.

AdditionalThis Pedrick designed Cheoy Lee 47 is like few other yachts her age. She has been given an exceptionally thorough refit since 2003 including entire exterior and interior refinishing, new teak decks, all new running and standing rigging, electronics and much more. She is quite literally a better looking and better condition boat than she would have been as delivered from the builders yard. We cannot encourage you more strongly to come and see her for yourself if you are looking for a capable cruising vessel in this size range!
She is currently in inside heated storage until sold and is easy to show in Eliot, Maine just app. 1 hour driving time north of Boston.
