The Bowman 48 is designed for fast and comfortable ocean cruising. "Berschert" features two, double, en-suite cabins. The large master stateroom is forward, and one/two berths can also be made up in the main saloon.
The Raised Saloon and Galley on "Berschert" are open and airy. The galley provides generous counter space found to port is extended over the engine box to create an excellent workspace.
Comfortably arranged for fine living at anchor or in harbor, this Bowman 48 offers complete safety and comfort for offshore passagemaking and in any weather and under any conditions she can be handled by two, and run from the cockpit.

Saloon
The Saloon is bright and airy creating a comfortable setting in all weather. It features “U” shaped seating to port around a center mounted drop leaf table with 12 bottle storage inside. The Bowman 48’s cockpit offers comfort and safety at sea or on the hook. The Custom Hard Top Dodger, built by renowned yachtsman R.A. Noyce with clear- non distorted Barrett Glass, creates a comfortable dry space in all weather conditions. Cockpit is covered by Helmsman’s Canopy with (2) Solar Panels (~260W) mounted over. Additionally, there are Sun Curtains on the Helmsman’s Canopy. Other Cockpit features:

Deck
Berschert has wide walk around decks accentuated with lovely teak decks. While all lines lead aft to the cockpit, her decks offer a comfortable space to relax and enjoy the sea and sun. Starting at the bow she has a large pulpit and high stanchions and lifelines. A bow mounted plow anchor with 200’ of Chain is mounted on roller and easily controlled with the electric Lewmar Windlass. The windlass can be operated from the bow with foot buttons or from the cockpit where a Quick Chain Counter keeps track of extended rode. Other features include:

Sails and Rig
The Bowman 48 is a cutter rig with a balanced sail plan. She features an original Main Sail with three reef points, a Doyle Genoa, and Doyle Jib and a Staysail. Each of the head sails has its own on deck track.
