40' Viking Sport Fish 1978 is for sale and located in Bellmore, NY.

* This is a classic example of one of the most successful and popular Vikings ever produced by this legendary boat builder.

Appropriately Named BLACK MAGIC;   This 40 Viking is the best example of a rugged classic sportfish or a great cruising yacht from one of the most legendary American yacht builders .  Viking, to this day is privately owned and the emphasis has always been on building quality, strong, performance, luxury and innovative boats and yachts.  A company that is almost 50 years old with owners who literally have helped shape both the industry and American boat buying.

This Viking will sleep six owners and guests in comfort and still have room for gear. She is powered by twin 3208 Caterpillar Diesels with only 900 hours since major overhaul.  Her Mase Diesel Generator looks brand new and has only 130 light hours on her.  Her classic sportfish convertible layout give you a bright and airy salon and easy open access to the cockpit and up to the bridge.  This yacht features the dinette layout with a guest stateroom forward and the dinette and galley down. This makes for an extra large salon and a yacht that feels much bigger than her forty feet. She is having new carpets installed as week speak.

Other features and options are along the line of what you would expect from a big cruising yachts. Full galley with stove, counters, refrigerator, microwave and comfortable dinette. * Brokers Observations:  This 40 Viking SF impressed me. Its a lot of boat for the money. When I went on board the first time, her shear size lets you know you're on a real SF yacht. These classic sportfish offer the best possible value to own a yacht at an extraordinarily reasonable price.  In todays market new boats like this sell for almost a million dollars or more.  These convertibles allow you to do the same boating and yachting for a fraction of the cost.  In some cases these sizes are no longer available from the original builders. On this one there is lots of upgrades and when I was visiting they were laying down new carpeting. This is one of those special opportunities to acquire a big yacht at a very low reasonable price.  And don’t forget if you are considering living on board this is a great potential livaboard yacht.
