Great Condition!
The trailer was just overhauled by Load Master! It is in New Condition!!
The tires are new within the this last year.
He had Load Master Install a New Master Cylinder for the breaks, Rotors, Calipers, Break Pads, Hubs, Break lines & more, Just Ask! It was made completely road worthy for this trip especially & wanted it in perfect condition.
All the upgrades & maintenance have been done professionally & were preformed in a high standard.
The hydraulic steering system is the latest & greatest from Seastar. It is just out this year. Check out the pictures
Seller had Twin Vee do some professional gel coat repairs that is normal with most of the Contender hulls. The seller wanted his boat to always be in the best condition possible & has maintained it that way since he bought it new.
There is more wrong with a boat off of an assembly line than you will find wrong with this vessel!
The engines if maintained properly will run for an infinite amount of time.
Yamahas' Technology in their fuel injection systems is & has been outstanding. Since they started converting their manufacturing from carbonated two strokes to fuel injected two strokes in the late 1990's, they perfected the two stroke. They did so well at their fuel injection that it spawned them to create the fuel injected four stroke which has make them one of the most successful outboard companies of all time!
Although, after mastering the two stroke, it took them until 2006 to perfect the four stroke! Since then, Yamaha relied on the success of their awesome two stokes technology & reliability all those years until they could perfect their four stroke. Now they have an unbelievable four stroke.
The engines that are on this Contender are Yamahas' mastered Hpdi two strokes. Their technology hasn't really changed over the years. The life of their engines are really unknown. It is mainly because all of the engines are still running today! Some with thousands & thousands of hours are running perfectly. Even after years of service, you can order and install any part as it becomes necessary for maintenance.
These days, the new two strokes Yamaha are putting out are the Hpdi & the V Max technology.
The engines that are on this Contender are Yamaha's Top of the Line Hpdi Two Strokes that they mastered in the beginning. They are just as good now as when they were new.
They are Completely Fuel Efficient & Reliable & are comparable to any new two stroke or four stroke you could order new today!
The engines are freshly painted. On the inside everything is completely serviced & up to date. Records are available.
There are really just a few more small gel coat repairs to be made if it were to be made in absolutely, perfect condition. You will find two or three small tiny chips in the gel coat on the hull under the engine & a couple left over spider cracks a few places in a cabinet drain track or two that was most likely over looked because he wanted to get fishing.
This type of gelcoat repair is normal for this type of boat ownership. Fiberglass is flexible & the gelcoat is mostly aesthetic. It is bound to flex with a heavy load going through large seas. Running the Sea you are bound to run over small objects that can chip the underside of the hull. They just need to be kept up.
The metal is all currently polished & the hull is waxed inside & out! It is currently in a like new condition.
One of the only other issues that I could find with this vessel while photographing it was that the port, aft fish box handle is missing the latch bar on the inside.
The rest of the vessel is pretty much operational & functional despite any daily repairs & maintenance is concerned.
Sept. 2013 Center Deck was removed to access Fuel Tanks, All New Fuel Lines, Three New Stainless Steel Sending Units installed, All new clamps. Tanks were re glassed in and Floor put back in & after being completely inspected. Records are available.
All Cushions are New, Including Canvas Material on T top, it is more of a Vinyl Material.
The only other thing I see on the boat to update or change or make completely perfect would be to have a custom switch panel installed & changed out to plexiglass rather than the old powder coated, aluminum one. It is original to the boat & it is doing the job just fine as is.
The out riggers are in very nice condition(like new).
