36' Catalina 36 Cruising Sailboat

ACCOMMODATIONS AND LAYOUT: The Mark II Catalina 36 is known for it’s roomy main cabin layout and ample cockpit. Inside there are two private sleeping cabins, a U-shaped galley and a large head with a vanity & separate shower. Every area of the boat has abundant storage including a custom storage cabinet under the nav station . Seven opening hatches and four opening ports (all with screens) provide excellent ventilation. For days when it’s too hot or too cold, “Anita” is equipped with Rotary-Aire® 17,000BTU reverse cycle air-conditioning. Your time in the cockpit is enhanced by the closed-cell foam cockpit cushions, folding teak table and walk-thru transom with swim-platform. There is even a cockpit shower with hot/cold pressure water.

GALLEY: The U-shaped galley has Corian® counter-tops, double stainless-steel sink with hot/cold pressure water, two burner LPG Hillerange® stove with oven, a Samsung® microwave oven and Adler-Barbour® refrigeration.

HEAD: The head is forward on the port side and has a vanity with Corian® countertop and a separate shower, both equipped with hot/cold pressure water. The head has a second private entrance from the v-berth cabin. The head itself was replaced in 2008 and the macerator was replaced in 2009. There is an 18 gallon holding tank.

ELECTRONICS AND NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT: Raymarine RLC -70 radar/chartplotter at the helm with a RL-70 repeater in the salon w/C-Map chip covering Chesapeake Bay to Florida & Bahamas, ST-6000 autopilot, ST-60 knot/depth/wind instruments, VHF w/RAM mic at the helm, AM/FM/CD with speakers in the salon & cockpit and an RCA TV with digital converter below.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Two 50’ shore power cables, two 4-D house batteries and a Group 27 start battery (all new in 2006) and a 150 watt DC/AC inverter.

SAILS & RIGGING: Full batten mainsail with Dutchman system, 155% genoa on Schaeffer® roller furling, Garhauer® solid boom-vang, inside and outside genoa tracks w/cars, whisker-pole w/mast mount & track and Lewmar® 2-speed, self-tailing winches through-out, tall mast, spinnaker halyard.

MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT & ENGINE DETAILS: Universal M-35 fresh-water cooled diesel (transmission was replaced in 2009). Spare fresh-water engine water pump is included along with spare filters, belts and zincs. Fuel pump new in 2009.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Electric anchor windlass, Delta anchor, 35# Bruce anchor, 100’ chain and 110’ rope rode, 20’ chain and 200’ rope rode, Jack-lines, LifeSling and all USCG required safety equipment.

CANVAS AND OTHER EXTRAS: Dodger & bimini with connecting panel and sun screen for cockpit plus winch, pedestal and sail covers all made by North Sails in navy blue. Closed-cell foam cockpit cushions. There is also an outboard motor lift w/Garhauer tackle and there is an anchor washdown pump with hose at the bow.
