Anchoring System – The anchor locker is divided in two sections.    

                              The aft section contains 150’ of three strand

                              nylon rode as a backup. The forward section

                            has 165’, 5/16” ss chain costing over $500.

                            But you stay anchored no matter the WX.

                              The weight of the chain improves the boat’s

                              trim at cruise giving the helm better vision.

Salon under deck   - In the salon there’s two hatches in the deck.

Storage-                   There’s a custom made flooring below decks

                              that can be removed easily. It provides loads

                              of space and items stay put in a seaway.

Water purification  - Under the galley sink is a Seagull water

                              purification system.                            

Galley refrigeration –Kate & Me has the optional Kitchen Aide

                              two drawer refrigerator & freezer with ice

                              maker. 

Helm deck            - Usually the 38’ Sabre came with 2 ac units.

Air Conditioning       One for the V-berth, the other for the salon.

                           Kate & Me has the optional two ac/heat units

                             which service the port & starboard sides of

                             the helm deck. = summer/cool, fall/warm.

Stidd helm and     - These are fully adjustable and extremely

Companion seats     comfortable. The original Stidd coverings

                             are bright white and almost new. They come

                             with the boat providing a second set.

Spare props         - Under the cockpit hatch and below the

                             lazarette flooring are Sabre fixtures made to

                             hold two propellers securely. Two

                             new propellers are included with sale.

Soft goods          - New two sets of fitted sheets.

Navigation lights  -  Because a ship was having difficulty seeing

                             This vessel's sidelights in heavy WX off Norfolk the owner

                             decided relight the boat with stronger lights

                             positioned higher up on name boards. They

                             are affixed to the cabin top by 3M 5200 so

                             there is no rooftop penetration. 12V power

                             is supplied to the nav lights and lights to

                             illuminate the nameboards through a small

                             battery and solar panel which is hidden from

                             view.

Sat Nav Antenna  - KVH 3 Sat Nav Antenna also an option/upgrade.

Engine Room -        The house batteries were originally positioned

Battery relocation    outboard of the starboard engine making it

                             impossible to see or get to, let alone service,

                             a problem in that area. The owner changed the location to  

                             the  engine room deck just forward of the genset making

                             for much better access.

Spare Parts          - Numerous spare parts, including Sherwood raw water pumps will 

                             convey along with impellers, filters and zincs.

 Manufacturer Provided Description Elegant, traditional designs, luxurious accommodations and excellent performance are the hallmarks of the Sabre 38 Express. Quiet and economical to operate, the Sabre 38 will impress the most experienced yachtsman. The helm deck is a careful study in ergonomics. Surrounded by large opening windows and overhead hatches for maximum ventilation and light. Views for the helmsman and crew are virtually unobstructed. The Stidd helm and mate's chairs, covered in Ultraleather upholstery, provide a degree of comfort rarely found in other boats. To add to cruising comfort, Sabre's engineers have reduced noise and vibration levels substantially with a careful study of engine room ventilation and insulation. Wide side decks with large diameter stainless steel hand rails, standard rope chain windlass and highly polished aluminum hatches all add to the beauty and functionality of her deck. A large anchor roller makes anchoring work a breeze. An optional hard back enclosure closes off the helm deck from the cockpit with the addition of two elegant curved windows in the corners, a sliding window to port and an aluminum entry door.Below decks her hand-crafted cherry interior adds to the sense of luxury, evident throughout. The stateroom berth is low and wide, making it both comfortable and easy to access. A pocket door separates the salon and stateroom while the head with stall shower has private access from the stateroom and from the salon. The main salon is configured with a long L-shaped settee and, her maple-inlaid salon table drops to form a guest berth. A standard thin screen TV and DVD player are recessed in to the furniture of the main cabin bulkhead. Her well equipped galley offers an electric cook top, convection microwave oven and coffee maker as well as ample storage for extended voyages. The Sabre 38 Hard Top Express is a yacht destined to become a classic for years to come.
