Sabre 386
"The Sabre Design Team and Jim Taylor Yacht Design have again joined forces to create a new Sabre sailing yacht. Design work began in early 2003 and the exciting new Sabre 386 will be presented to the public in January 2004. As her design evolved, the desire for luxurious accommodations, blended with great performance characteristics, rose to the top of the list of priorities. Her performance is assured by the pedigree of her designers whose successes are already well known. And as to her luxurious accommodations, Sabre's reputation for building high quality sailing yachts since 1970 should assure any sailor of the quality and integrity of her build." ~ Sabre Yachts
Sailing Performance "The emphasis on an easily driven hull allows you to be sailing when others have started motoring. While any sailing yacht can sail downwind in a blow, only an efficient design with an easily driven hull shape and tall rig can be fun to sail when the winds go light. A pleasant evening sailing with friends is a rare moment to be cherished for years to come." ~ Sabre 386 Brochure
Blue Roses "Blue Roses offers outstanding sailing performance and a high level of cruising comfort along with terrific livability at anchor or dockside. The 386 is a dream underway, responsive and well balanced. Her flag blue hull is a head turner, and her layout is smart, with an athwart ships queen berth aft, island berth forward, aft facing navigation station, spacious head with dedicated shower stall, and roomy galley and salon for family dining." ~ Current Owner
Blue Roses History This 2004 Sabre 386 was purchased new by her original owner in October, 2005, and was commissioned enough at that time for a mini survey. The original owner used his old boat for the 2006 season while in the process of selling it, leaving the new Sabre 386 on the hard at Brewer Dauntless Shipyard in Connecticut. Having sold his old boat in 2006, the original owner then fully commissioned the Sabre 386 for the 2007 season. The Sabre 386 was primarily day sailed with a few overnight trips for the 2007-2010 seasons. During this time all commissioning, winterization, storage and maintenance work was done by Brewer Dauntless Shipyard.

Sabres fold-up table allows dining space to evolve into living space unlike boats with fixed pedestal tables. Louvered locker doors provide good ventilation to storage spaces and overhead hatches, stainless steel opening ports and fixed ports allow plenty of light and air to fill this luxurious space. Massive stainless steel chainplates bolted to solid fiberglass bulkheads which are overlaid with cherry veneer. This construction detail will ensure long and reliable service to your Sabre 386." ~ Sabre 386 Brochure

The berth top is low: just 25ââ?¬Â³ off the cabin sole. Four large drawers are provided under the berth and more storage space is located in the vanity to port. The sink and vanity mirror are standard in this cabin, as is a large cedar lined hanging locker to starboard." ~ Sabre 386 Brochure

The navigators seat back folds away to become part of the berth back when not in use and so as to allow the starboard settee to be used as a sea berth." Sabre 386 Brochure
