VESSEL DESCRIPTION
Your first impression of this Catalina 400 Mk II are bound to be very pleasantly positive. These boats are solid - and your get that sense as soon as you set foot on deck. Everything about the boat feels right. The hardware is all high quality, and it shows. The cockpit layout is fantastic - twin wheels, central engine panel and electronics, super comfortable helm positions, large social cockpit with a great center-line drop leaf table.
A significant feature is the full cockpit enclosure, incorporating a dodger, a bimini, the connection between the two, and full side and aft curtains. This is a true season extender, and it also makes for all-weather living space above decks.
Sail handling is superb - in-mast furling, mid-boom sheeting, a separate winch for the head-stay furler (the owner states that it can be furled under load, it works so well).
From both on-deck and below, you will be very cognizant that this boat has superb ventilation. The hatches and opening ports abound, and not only is that great for ventilation, but it also creates a light-filled and airy interior. And the spaces are big and comfy, with two heads, abundant storage, ultra leather upholstery, and a large and commodious galley.
The aft cabin is much larger than on most boats of this size - with a center-line king/queen size berth, seats port and starboard, oodles of storage and a private head with separate stall shower.
Everywhere you look you will find pristine, uncluttered spaces. These owners keep a very tidy boat, and have kept her in truly excellent condition. We encourage your inspection.
