Vessel Walk Thru
Catalina introduced some of the first designs with walk thru transoms that along with some of their other features kept them among the best selling sailboats of their time. The Catalina 320 is typical of their leadership in this arena.
Headroom in the Catalina 320 is in excess of 6'-4" aft to 6'-3" entering the forward stateroom, 12 Volt lighting throughout. Excellent natural light and ventilation with four large fixed ports, two fixed hull ports, six opening ports, and two large and one small hatch. When natural ventilation is not enough, this Catalina 320 has a 16,000 BTU reverse cycle (heats & cools) air conditioning unit that will cool or warm the yacht as desired, when dockside and plugged in.
Starting forward is the private Forward Stateroom with 6'-6" V-Berth with filler below which is storage in drawers, while above the berth there is a wrap around storage shelf.
Next aft is the Main Salon featuring a U-shaped Settee to starboard with filler and straight settee to port. There is tankage and some storage below the settees. Above the settees there is storage in shelves and lockers. Dining is from a pedestal table on a high low post which drops down to make a filler to convert the starboard berth into a generous double.
Aft and to port is the outboard facing Nav. Station with flip top type chat table, navionics, electrical distribution panel, and storage for navigation publications.
Opposite to starboard is the Enclosed Head with manual W.C. plumbed to the holding tank, vanity with sink and pressure H&C water with "telephone" style faucet for showers. The ensuite shower drains to a separate sump with pump.
Next aft is the private Aft Stateroom with king sized athwartship berth, dressing seat, hanging locker and drawers.
The U-Shaped Galley is across to port with generous ice box fitted with an Adler Barber refrigeration system and freezer compartment aft, outboard 2 burner gimbaled propane stove with oven with a microwave oven for quick re-heats above. Forward is a top load dry storage compartment and double basin stainless steel sink. Storage is in several lockers and drawers

This Catalina 320 has always been a Maine Boat. Her current and second owner purchased her in 2005 and save one winter when she was wet stored (covered), she has spent seven to eight months per year hauled out and covered. She was routinely used through summer 2014 when her use became light and sporadic and she spent 2016 in storage (covered) before being put back into service early this summer.
Her short seasonal use and good care has left her in wonderful condition overall and she represents a very good value in her part of the market.
