Accommodations
"Osprey" has an exceptionally accommodating and spacious layout with a spectacular salon area that incorporates a generous 6'4" headroom, comfortable leather settees, built-in easy chairs and ottomans separated by an entertainment center along with six deck hatches with SkyScreens and screened opening ports that provide a light and airy feeling of a yacht much larger in size.
Beautifully crafted with cherry joinery, "Osprey" accommodates six in three luxurious private cabins.
The master's cabin aft features a queen sized centerline double berth with curved settees, vanity, ensuite head and a separate stall shower. The side cabin amidship to port has two single berths while the forward cabin also affords a centerline queen berth with storage below, a large hanging locker, contrasting dark Avonite vanity, and locker storage surrounds the cabin. Just aft to starboard is the forward head compartment with Avonite topped vanity and shower with direct access from either the forward cabin or salon. (Note: Extra hanging lockers and storage are provided in "Osprey" with the exclusion of the aft pilot berth shown in the layout diagram).
The large galley is aft next to the companionway and the navigation station is opposite.
On deck, the cockpit is exceptionally long and can easily accommodate six or more people. The optional factory hardtop and s/s windscreen provide a separate open and comfortably cushioned lounging area; either shaded from the sun, or in inclement weather may be totally enclosed with canvas and clear roll-up curtains.

About the Builder Excerpts from Editor's Notes: “Practical Sailor Magazine - SailboatData” “In 1934, before laying down the first keel, Alexander H. Moody wrote that Moody Yachts were to be of only the highest quality materials and workmanship. These yachts embody years of tradition and innovation of Moody's commitment to excellence. Contributing to this success since 1982, long-term Moody designer Bill Dixon who is noted for comfortable performance cruiser designs has created more than 28 models of Moody Yachts. During the past 30 years, over 4,500 Moody Yachts have been delivered throughout the World. And to this day, Moody continues to live up to its Founder, A.H. Moody's stellar reputation among experienced sailors. “Practical Sailor Magazine”-SailboatData” |
