Accommodations
The Tartan 4100 has a spacious cockpit with comfortable seating and a pedestal steering station. The bridge deck provides safety, headroom in the aft cabin below and a protected seating position under the Dodger. The transom has an electrically operated door that opens to become a swim/boarding platform with hot/cold shower fittings and swim ladder.
The interior is beautifully varnished cherry in excellent condition, with varnished teak and holly cabin sole and Navy blue upholstery.
Wide decks allow easy movement fore and aft on tan anti-skid surface.
The forward cabin has a large v-berth, vanity with sink and four storage drawers below the berth. A large storage area is forward of the drawers under the berth. Two overhead hatches provide excellent ventilation. A hanging locker and shelf unit is on starboard. An opening window in the bulkhead provides increased air flow and adds to the open feeling of the salon. The main salon has a varnished cherry centerline double drop leaf table with a U-shaped settee to port and a settee to starboard. Cabinets and shelves are above and outboard of both settees. A TV/VCR and CD - Stereo are mounted in a cabinet to starboard. A built in wine rack is located below the starboard settee.
The navigation station is on starboard, outboard facing with a bench seat. The large desk surface accommodates charts and there is ample room for the installation of electronics. The electrical control panel and tankage gauges are located here as well.
Opposite the nav station is a well designed galley with a very large refrigerated box for food storage. Double top opening lids and a front opening door provides terrific access. The double sinks are in a console on the centerline.
Opposite the galley aft of the nav station is a large locker with six shelves that provide additional galley or miscellaneous storage. Behind this unit a large bulk storage locker is accessed from the shower stall that is incorporated into the head area, separated by a bi-fold shower door. The head is accessed both from the aft cabin and main salon.
The aft cabin has the custom full berth design with hanging lockers, drawers and shelves providing lots of storage. Four opening ports provide ventilation and light.
The cabin sole is varnished teak and holly.
Galley & Head
The counter tops in the galley and head are white Corian.
The Galley has a double centerline sink with fold down dish drain rack mounted on the bulkhead. The refrigerated box extends from the port hull side to the centerline, with the stove mounted to port; a counter extends along the port side with cabinets above and drawers and cabinets below.
The head has a forward facing marine head with holding tank and pump out fitting on deck. A sink and vanity with storage cabinets are on the starboard side. The separate shower stall has a folding door, separate shower sump and pump. The head overboard discharge has been disabled, as the boat is on a fresh water reservoir.
