�  �  � A spacious interior for up to 7 in a 2 stateroom layout with an abundance�  of storage in a full satin finish varnished teak interior with teak and holly sole.

�  �  � Starting forward is the� Owner's Stateroom featuring a queen sized pullman style berth to starboard with deep cargo drawers below and storage shelves above.�  To port is an expansive hanging locker just forward of which are three large drop face lockers.�  Furthest forward is the private Master Head featuring a separate shower area with seat and isolating curtain, manual W.C. plumbed via a Y valve to the holding tank, and vanity with storage in a number of sliding face lockers and a drawer.

�  �  � Aft of the Owner's Stateroom is the Salon, featuring a large L-settee to starboard with tankage, storage and batteries below and storage behind the seat back and in lockers and bookshelves above.�  Similar storage may be found at the straight port settee opposite.�  Forward of the port settee is a large hanging locker while aft of the starboard settee is the Nav. Station.�  Dining is from a large teak table which conveniently stows against the bulkhead when not in use.

�  �  � The Nav. Station features a deep flip top style chart table, the yachts electrical distribution panels, and the primary navigation and communications equipment.

�  �  � Opposite to port is the Aft Head featuring ensuite shower, manual W.C. plumbed to the holding tank via a Y valve and vanity with storage.�  There is both private access from the aft stateroom as well as access to the head from the Salon.

�  �  � The private Aft Stateroom features a queen sized quarter berth below which there is some storage as well as in the large hanging locker and two drop faced lockers forward and shelf above the berth.�  There is also a small dressing seat forward of the berth.

�  �  � The U-Shaped Galley is furthest aft and to starboard.�  Expansive counter tops provide plenty of working space and are fitted with a deep double basin sink near C/L with pressure and manual fresh water.�  A large well insulated ice box is divided into freezer and refrigeration compartments fitted with 12 volt Crosby refrigeration.�  Cooking is off of a 3 burner gimballed propane stove with oven and broiler.�  There is an abundance of storage in several lockers and drawers.

�  �  � Kwinu is a wonderful example of the popular Island Packet 40.�  She has undergone many upgrades under her current and 3nd owner.�  Under her first owner she did two trips to the Carribbean and north along the US East Coast.�  Her first owner cruised her north and south from 2000-2002, from 2003 - 2013 her second owner and from 2014 - 2022 sailed her in Maine and stored her out of the water with a cover for 8 months of the year. For the last 5 years she has been indoor stored.

�  �  � She is very well equipped and cared for and shows well. (4) Three ring binders contain instrucions/owners manuals for all systems. The original Island Packet 40 owners manuals are aboard as well. Kwinu also comes with a custom winter cover, winch covers and hatch covers that will convey with the vessel at the time of sale.

�  �  � The owners personal effects, tools and Type V inflatable vests are specifically excluded.

�  �  � The Native Symbol or Totem the Loon: Kwinu is the name given by the Passamaquoddy, Mikmaq, and Maliseet tribes for the Loon. A solitary bird of the wilderness, the Loon symbolizes tranquility, serenity and the reawakening of old hopes, wishes and dreams. The Loon relies on water and water is a symbol for dreams and multiple levels of consciousness, therefore Loons teach us to pay attention to our dreams, wishes and hopes. A Legend says that to see a Loon is a symbol of a dream come true or an answered

�  �  � Loon plays the role of Earth-Diver in some Native American tribes, being the only animal to succeed at diving to the ocean floor to bring up earth for the Creator or culture hero to make land with. In some Northwest Coast tribes, loons are symbols of harmony, generosity, and peace. In some Algonquian tribes of the northeast, loons are regarded as divine messengers.

�  �  � In Wabanaki folklore, K win the loon plays the role of messenger and loyal friend of the culture hero Glooscap), but since Glooscap is such a benevolent figure, Kwinu is viewed positively nonetheless. The loud, eerie cries of the loon were often said to be reports to Glooscap about the activities of men. In some Maliseet stories, they are instead said to be the Kwinu's lament that his friend and master has left the world.
