Introduction and Yacht History
The Island Packet 37 was introduced to replace the very successful IP 35, which was the first Island Packet to circumnavigate the globe. The 37 had many improvements in hull design, steering, accommodations and more. She performs well in light air and is a great sea going vessel in all kinds of conditions.
Yacht history:
Wind Dancer was a Fresh Water boat that cruised the Great Lakes until 2010. She then headed south to Florida, Bahamas, The Virgins, The Leeward, Windward Islands and the Caribbean. All along the way she benefitted by many upgrades and improvements and was meticulously maintained with Oil changed every 150 hours and Belts and impellers changed every 6 months. With new Standing rigging in 2014, watermaker, radar, chart plotter, and more she is truly “Turn Key” and ready to take you where you wish.
AccommodationsThe interior is both attractive and functional. To starboard there is a large wrap around galley convenient to both salon & cockpit and featuring 3-burner propane stove & oven, double sinks, flip up counter extension, and exceptional stowage with numerous lockers, drawers, & cabinets. The main salon goes the full beam of the vessel with settees on both sides, and has a bulkhead-mounted folding dining table with glass & bottle storage behind. The L-shaped port settee makes into a double berth and the starboard settee doubles as a single berth. A cedar lined hanging locker is also located in the saloon. The Nav station is located at the end of the L-shaped settee and features a hinged table with generous storage. Just forward of main salon is the spacious head with separate shower area & teak seat, bulkhead mounted shower, wrap around vanity with S/S sink, two cabinets, large mirror, & recessed lighting. The private forward stateroom has a 6'6" V-Berth with lots of storage provided by drawers, cabinets, bins, shelves, & large cedar lined hanging locker. There is private access to the head. The enclosed aft stateroom features very large double berth and upholstered dressing seat. There is ample storage with cedar lined hanging locker, bureau, and shelves. A full length mirror adds the finishing touch.
