Description
"Magic" is a rare breed, she is a C&C 51, designed by the same C&C Design Team that designed the earlier Baltic 51. A combination of C&C quality, an efficient hull design and sail plan, make her a very quick, stable boat. Her owners reached 14.5 knots on her way down to Georgia from the Chesapeake in the fall, with a 35-knot wind on the stern, mainsail only. She has been cruising the Caribbean and East Coast since she was commissioned in 1991. In 2005 the current owners purchased Magic from the original owner. Over the past 10 years, Magic has had significant upgrades including a new Yanmar diesel in 2007, rod rigging in 2005, 4.2kw Entec West Genset in 2008, wind generator in 2007, updated electronics, and recently a new bimini frame capable of holding an array of solar panels, 60A MPPT solar controller already installed. Brand new air conditioning installed upon her return to Annapolis. Two new captains chairs in the salon have been added and exterior teak cockpit decking has been detailed.
Magic has a well appointed interior that is plush and roomy. She has three staterooms and two heads. Two owners cabins with full size heads and shower stalls. The V-berth forward has a provision for an open head as well. Her large galley offers plenty of storage, lots of counter space and equipped with a three burner propane stove and oven, Adler Barbour refrigeration/freezer system in 2011.
Her hull is kevlar reinforced for added strength, the fin keel with centerboard will allow you to cruise the island shallows and swiftly travel to the next destination with speed. Her bottom had a preventative barrier coat applied in 2009. Sail control is easy with hydraulic primary winches and main halyard winch, a hydraulic backstay and boom-vang. Genoa and main sheets are easily reached from the helm for easy short handed cruising, as well as halyards and reef lines are run aft to the cockpit cabin top winches.
This is a sailor's yacht, she is a perfect blend of performance and comfort without compromising on either, perfect for couples cruising. C&C built this yacht with top quality materials, strength, and safety in mind. Magic is hull #2 of only seven built and the only one currently on the market. She has a proven track record for sailing offshore and extended cruising throughout the Caribbean for the past 24 years. Do not miss your opportunity to own this unique yacht.
AccommodationsAs a low production run boat, the C&C 51's were built semi-custom for their owners, and Magic is no exception.
Salon
Upon entering the spacious salon from the cockpit you will notice the headroom and generous amount of natural light. C&C designed the deck to be sleek and streamlined for racing, but did not skimp on interior comforts. The woodwork and trim is to the highest standard you would expect from a seasoned and renowned builder. The salon table is to the forward port side with leatherette seating around, plus a bench seat with also houses the centerboard mechanics. On the forward starboard side of the salon are two leatherette captains chairs with shelving for relaxing or reading. The navigation station is set to the starboard aft section of the salon featuring the electrical panel and navigation equipment. Aft of the nav station is the door to the aft/day head. The head is spacious and includes a full shower stall.

Forward Cabins
Forward of the salon is the main forward cabin with pullman berth to starboard. On the port side is the head with full shower stall. Forward of this cabin is a v-berth, originally designed as a crew cabin, the v-berth includes a head and sink, with access to the deck from the forward hatch.
Cockpit
Magic is an aft cockpit with reverse transom, teak steps down to the water. The flooring in the cockpit is teak (installed in 2006) with plenty of room to move around and comfortable to sit. A folding teak table forward of helm provides outside dining. 360 degree visibility from the helm
