Accommodations
The Morgan/Nelson-Marek team could easily have been "ahead of their time" when they designed this long range cruiser since her features are still included 20 years later in modern cruising yachts.
Her center cockpit design is skillfully blended with beautiful lines to produce a pleasing appearance combined with functionality and very spacious proportions below deck. For those who are height challenged, not only is her 6'5" headroom exceptional but all berth lengths are of even greater length.
Attention has been given to providing generous amounts of natural lighting and ventilation with 13 operning ports and 2 fixed ports all covered with pleated shades. There are 9 opening hatches to further compliment the ventilation with fitted sun covers (glazing was replaced in 2000).
The companionway steps into the salon are at a comfortably angle to provide easy and immediate access to either the large galley to starboard or the nav. station to port. Forward of the galley and outboard, the long and wide settee seats four for dining and may also be used as a "watch berth". The center-line salon table has built-in bottle storage. Opposite to port are two large "his and hers" easy chairs with a dividing console locker. Generous amounts of storage surrounds the outboard of the yacht above and below.
Moving forward to the "V" stateroom, to stbd. is the guest head and opposite to port is a large hanging locker with vanity while the comfortable double berths are extra wide and long. Generous amounts of daylight and fresh air is provided through hatches and opening ports.
Moving aft through the companionway to stbd. and centerline, the engine room has easy access provided from three sides through a sound insulated door fitted with a clear view window enabeling a quick glance at the machinery. Outboard in the companionway a custom matching set of built-in storage cabinets provides additional storage for spares, tools, etc..
The aft master's stateroom has a centerline queen berth with drawers and lockers below and hanging lockers with shelves to port. Additional storage shelves and compartments are on either side and under the berth. Starboard side is equipped with a lift up mirrored vanity. The aft ensuite head compartment is just forward of the berth on the stbd. side with a mirrored vanity couonter with sink and locker along with a Euro styled tub and shower. Additonal storage is provided in sliding mirrored compartments outboard.
