This Jeanneau 12.5 Voyage is the best PROVEN BLUE WATER boat you can purchase for under $100K.
She was built in France, and her designer Guy Ribadeau Dumas incorporated a grid floor frame system below the cabin sole, which is tied into structural ribs which go up to the gun whale spaced at each floor frame. The result is a very strong, stiff vessel. She is thick solid KEVLAR glass below the waterline and KEVLAR glass with a balsa core above to the gun whale.
When you couple the construction of this special vessel with her immaculate decks, outstanding interior and 6 year old standing and running rigging, in mast furling, cutter rig, excellent electronics, solar panels, fuel cell generator, wind generator, new dinghy and outboard, new dodger, excellent low hour 50 HP Perkins diesel and MaxProp you won't find a better vessel to sail the islands or around the world on!
AccommodationsLOL has a great layout that maximizes her interior space. As you come down the companionway to port aft, you will find a large stateroom with a double berth, private sink, hanging locker and ample storage. To Starboard, is another large stateroom with a double berth, AND a single berth outboard, so it sleeps 3 or provides a great shelf for storage of your guest's gear.
Moving forward on the port side there is a very nice, super clean head with a shower. There is no wood in either head and clean up is super easy. The space has a Jabsco manual head with fold down seat, shower, vanity and storage cabinet.
Further forward on the starboard side is the galley which runs down the rest of the salon space to the forward bulkhead.
This galley has as much counter space as many homes. It runs about 10ft along the port side. with deep double sinks, top opening ISO Therm fridge/freezer installed in 2016. It has a new ENO gimbaled gas stove and oven. A flap covers the stove to provide extra counter space and lifts up to drop into its own storage slot when cooking. Little things throughout show that the designers have given the boat a lot of thought. One such item is a bin attached to one of the cupboard doors. As the door opens, the lid also lifts which is very handy in a seaway when you need one hand to hold on with. The bin is removable for emptying. A crockery and glasses cupboard is fitted in the forward bulkhead. Big cupboards are built in, under the full length of bench. All in all a great galley with more room than you will find for storage and working than on almost any boat!
On the starboard side aft is the large Nav Station. This is a separate Nav area with an upholstered navigator's seat, big angled table with lift up lid for chart storage. A very full electrical panel is set against the hull, with storage beside and panel for the VHF Radio, Sat Phone, AIS Transmitter and Receiver, EFOY Generator Control Panel, and a Depth Repeater.
The main salon sports a beautiful round teak table which can be lowered into a semi-circular settee to make up a unique nearly round berth big enough for 2+ sleepers. Behind the settee are shelves and storage, but under the settee Jeanneau has installed several lined fiberglass food storage bins that will always stay dry and clean.
Forward of the salon you will find the outstanding Master Stateroom. It has a partial walk around full sized berth, a private head with a separate shower, 2 hanging lockers and a dressing seat.
