Layout & Accomodations
The Freedom 38 is well known for its superb 2 cabin layout with excellent joiner work. Forward is a large V-berth with a custom shelf to port, ample storage in drawers, cabinets and hanging locker to starboard.
Next aft to port is the head with vanity and shower, to starboard is more cabinetry. Next aft to port is main settee/dinette/double berth with fold down table and magazine rack. To starboard is a settee that converts to a berth.
Next aft is the galley to port and the navigation station with lift up chart table and plenty of drawers for storage to starboard.
Aft to starboard is the large double stateroom with storage drawers, shelf and cabinet.
She has excellent ventilation and light below with 3 Hella cabin fans, 4 fixed ports, 7 opening ports, 3 overhead opening hatches and the companionway hatch.
The interior bulkheads and cabinet finish is rich teak joinery. The Herreshoff style white laminate around the ports and a white vinyl headliner were new in 2013 as is the teak and holly sole with throw rugs.
The cushions are a durable deep blue Ultra suede style covering with good foam throughout.
Stateroom berths have memory foam mattress toppers and fitted sheets.

Brokers CommentsRefit masterfully accomplished by Freedom Yacht specialists at Warren River Boatworks in 2013. The owners have continually improved the vessel since then, fully yard-maintained at Brewer Cove Haven and Brewer Wickford Cove Marinas. Recent retirement plans have brought this fine yacht to the market. You will be hard pressed to find a more thoughtfully rigged and improved Freedom 38.
