Accommodations
A spacious varnished full teak interior with varnished teak sole with abundant storage accommodates up to seven. 8 opening ports and 2 large hatches (all with screens) as well 2 large dorades and 2 solar vents provide generous natural lighting and ventilation. 12 volt reading lamps at all berths and settees as well as overhead dome style lamps provide artificial lighting. Espar diesel cabin heat provides season extending heat, or a little warmth to take the chill off on a damp day. An additional Espar heat outlet has been run to the cockpit.
Starting forward is the Forward Cabin featuring a V-berth with filler below which there is bin type storage. When not in use as a filler the cushion drops down to a lower position and acts as a dressing seat. Above the berth the hull is lined with a teak veneer and there is a full length storage shelf P&S. Aft of the starboard V is a bureau with 4 drawers and a drop face locker and then a hanging locker while aft of the port V is a hanging locker followed by private access to the head.
Next aft to port is the Head featuring a manual W.C. plumbed via Y valve to the holding tank, ensuite shower with separate sump pump, vanity with stainless steel sink and pressure H&C water and storage.
Continuing aft is the Main Salon featuring a straight settee to starboard and L settee to port. Outboard of the seat back there is storage in drawers. Above the stbd. settee is a pilot berth and above the port berth there is storage in 3 drawers and then 2 lockers and a bookshelf with fiddle. there is some bin type storage below the port sette as well. Dining is from a large drop leaf table that stows against the forward bulkhead when not in use. Forward of the starboard settee is a hanging locker.
Next aft and to port is the Navigation Station featuring a flip up type chart table with storage below which there is storage in 3 drawers. Additional storage is in a locker and bookrack outboard. Just aft is a true double Quarter berth, below which there is some bin type storage. Above the berth there is storage in a full length shelf.
Opposite is the U shaped Galley featuring double basin stainless steel sinks with H&C pressure water, manual fresh and manual salt water pumps, Force 10 gimballed 3 burner propane stove with oven '95, large well insulated ice box with Adler Barber refrigeration. The icebox was completely rebuilt in 99' with 6-9" of insulation so that the Adler Barber refrigeration (also new in 99') consumes less than 20 amps per day! Generous storage in 7 lockers and three drawers.
A key feature of the interior, which must no be overlooked, is the fact that it is Varnished. The standard interior was oiled teak which is fine but requires a much higher level of maintainence than that of a varnished interior and leavies the wood susceptible to staining.

2 new layers of fiberglass in Vinylester resin, again a huge plus for this Tartan 37' over others of similiar vintage. In '01 the bottom was again stripped and then re-finished with ablative paint.
