Accommodations
Sleep up to six in a full oiled teak interior with an oiled teak cabin sole. The layout varies slightly from the standard Tartan 33 in that the pilot berth has been removed from the port side and professionally done teak joiner work installed to improve the storage. This work was done in 2003 along with a refinishing of the balance of the interior. Also at that time fabric hull covering were removed and teak ceiling strips were installed. This gives the vessel a far warmer and more nicely detailed interior than her sisterships offer.
Eight opening ports, 2 dorade vents and one large hatch provide an abundance of natural light and ventilation while reading lamps at all berths and settees along with some overhead lamps provide good artificial lighting.
Starting forward is the private forward cabin with 6'-4" V-berth with filler, below there is storage in lockers and bins and above there are storage shelves P&S. Just aft and to port is a large hanging locker and bureau with 2 drawers and locker with shelves. Opposite to starboard is the enclosed head with manual W.C., vanity with stainless steel sink and pressue water and storage, ensuite shower with separate sump.
Continuing aft is the main cabin with straight settees P&S. The starboard settee pulls out to make a double berth when desired. There is storage behind the settee backs and in lockers and shelves above an outboard. At the aft end of the port settee the large well insulated ice box provides additional counter space adjacent to the Galley.
The L shaped galley is very well thought out both from an ergonomic standpoint and from storage of which there is plenty; large stainless steel sink with pressure water, single burner Force 10 Sea Swing stove. The original aperture for a larger stove can accept a 2 or 3 burner gimballed stove/oven if one so chooses.
Opposite the galley is the quarter berth with some stowage below as well as in shelving above. At the head of the berth is a navigators seat, a chart table and the yachts electrical distribution system.
