36' Egg Harbor 36 Sedan Convertible Boats

SEAQUEL turns heads everywhere that she is docked.  The classic style, abundant bright work and teak deck make her stand out.  She has been set up as a great cruising boat for a couple but just as well can host a good sized party using her large fly bridge and back deck.

Her owners cruised extensively in northern Lake Huron.  Her big Ideal winch with 180 of chain made anchoring easy  The ten foot inflatable dingy, which stores neatly under the aft deck, was made ready quickly using a belt driven compressor mounted in the bilge .  Then the 15 HP outboard which stored on a bracket underneath the bridge ladder was hoisted off the bracket by a hydraulic gin pole  and lowered to the inflatable.  (The outboard is not part of the sale).  The original Onan generator was replaced with a very quiet, smooth running Westerbeke.  Outside of the sliding cabin doors two screen doors, almost like home, make entry and exit quick and easy keeping the cabin bug free.  The large side windows and a fan in the cabin over head keep things comfortable until the AC is needed.

The light and airy galley is down leaving space in the cabin for two large leather chairs and four folding teak chairs plus two stools if needed.  A folding drop leaf table will work for meals for four.  A folding table in the companionway makes it easy to get food from the galley to the table/  A counter to starboard can be used for eating or doing chart work. Lots of storage cabinets.

The bridge seats three plus two or three more sitting on the large storage box.  The boat has always been inside heated during the winters.  Since the current owner bought her in 1999 she has spent the summers in a covered well at home.  The enclosure is five years old but since it has seen so little weather it is all most like new.  Except dirty because it has only been out in the rain a few times.  The owner built the instrument panels to accommodate the additional gages.  Some of the panel gages no longer function.  An upgraded auto pilot makes long trips more easy.  The Sitex color radar with its 48 inch antenna adds to the fun and safety of cruising.  That unit also has a sounder function and is connected to two cameras below so the skipper can keep track of the good times below.  

The bottom was stripped in 2000, blisters repaired and six coats of InterProtect applied.  Bottom paint was removed two years ago, InterProtect applied and bottom paint.  

For the past four years SEAQUEL has been registered in Michigan as a Historic Watercraft.  One of the requirements for that designation, besides age, is that the vessel not be used for cruising.  As such she has had very little use and the owner has decided to let us find her a new owner.
