1972 44' STRIKER 44 FLYBRIDGE / SPORTFISH FOR SALE IN CHARLESTON, OREGON.

The Striker 44 Flying Bridge Sportfisherman was the best selling Striker ever. A total of 99 were built in Norway, and she is known for having been the first all-aluminum sportfishing boat ever produced. With ONLY 290 HOURS, tower, new engines in '06, transmission, shafts, props, electronics and wiring, this mostly restored version of the famous Striker brand was popular then and is still popular today. Her well deserved popularity stems from a historical reputation for exceptional offshore performance as well as for the massive brawn and sea worthiness common to all Striker yachts. Several two-stateroom floor plans were optional during her production years, including a versatile galley-up version with bunk beds in the companionway opposite the head. The salon features an L-shaped settee with pullout bed, teak trim and cabinets, entertainment center, and overhead rod racks. Additional features of the Striker 44 are an engine room sea chest (to eliminate unnecessary through-hull fittings), a very serviceable engine room, expansive fly bridge, teak cockpit sole, and teak covering boards. Topside, the 44 has a first-class working cockpit and unusually wide and secure side decks with beefy deck hardware and rails. Performance was quite satisfactory in her day due to her lightweight aluminum construction.
