The Annual Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival features a harbor typically filled with hundreds of wooden boats including double-ended cutters, tall ships, classic powerboats, working vessels, row boats, shells, kayaks and much more. On land you will find boats being built while you watch plus some new and restored vessels. The show expands each year to provide the wooden boat enthusiast with the latest innovations to provide the skills and an understanding of the equipment required to continue the tradition of wooden boats.

The annual festival features over 300 wooden vessels, hundreds of indoor and outdoor demonstrations. The festival has expanded a little each year, continuing to honor its traditions while inviting enthusiastic debate and demonstration with regards to the latest innovations in boatbuilding, equipment, skills and adventure.
