The Port of Toledo Wooden Boat Show is held annually, this is an old-fashioned, down-home style waterfront festival where everything is enjoyable and nothing much is fancy. It is as genuinely grassroots American as you can get. First held in 2005, the first Wooden Boat Show coincided with the City of Toledo's Centennial Celebration.

August weather is fantastic for a boat show and the Wooden Boat Show features vintage and new wooden boats at Port of Toledo. The Pacific Northwest has some of the finest boat builders and they come together to exhibit their work and demonstrate their craft.

As always there will be live music for entertainment and plenty of good food from various vendors. There will be free children’s activities like the Kid’s Boat Building tent and boat rides the Boat House is always fun for kids. Along with events for the entire family make this a festival not to be missed. One of those events includes the Family Boat Building taking place in the parking lot the program is designed for a family to build a 10 foot canoe in three days. Carl Chamberlin builder and master designer, owner of Basic Boats in Port Townsend hosts the program every year.

Check out some of our Educational Exhibits there is always something to learn from the pros. Take time to see the local Maritime artists with their beautiful pieces of work they line the walk to exhibit and sell. Craft vendors will be displaying their work to sell also. Lot’s to see and do with Free Admission too!
