Gillikin Boats are built by Gillikin Custom Boat Builders. The Gillikin line consists of boats that are designed by fishermen, for fisherman. Every desired feature has been built-in and every need has been anticipated. Gillikin custom boats offer complete tackle centers with standard equipment including sinks, storage, iceboxes, fish boxes, rod holders, live bait wells, and more.

Gillikin builds traditional, low-tech, simple-strip Carolina hulls. Gillikin boats are not your typical super slick boats that you might pay millions of dollars for. They are a very solid representation of traditional Carolina hulls. A Gillikin Custom Boat offers a well built hull from extremely experienced boat builders - they didn't just pop up on the block last week. They are and have always been located on Harkers Island which is credited with the creation of the Carolina flaired bow.

Unlike many of the boat building 'businessmen' you find today at some of the 'yacht' companies, James Gillikin, the owner, is what you would call a straight shooter. He doesn't build his custom boats in an ultra-modern facility. He chooses to work in an old barn with a floor that's made up of years and years of accumulated saw dust. James Gilliking doesn't build boats because he has to, he builds boats because he wants to.
