Eastern Boats Information

Starting in 1981 Eastern Boats began by building one model. It was an 18′ Classic designed by Royal Lowell of Downeast designers. The first Eastern Boats facility was consisted of two small bays for assembly and a glass shop space for two small hulls simultaneously. Thirty-three years later, Eastern Boats is still offering their enduring little skiff which has been updated with modern composite materials and twenty-first century clean and efficient outboard power.

A 22′ model was added a few years later and it was offered as a center console or Lobster cabin. In 1989 Bob Bourdeau went to work for Eastern in 1989 and eventually purchased the company in 1993. In 1992, Eastern purchased the molds for a 27’ Royal Lowell hull and began offering it in both as a center console and in a Lobster cabin configuration.
