AdditionalPurchased by her current owners 16 years ago, this Grand Banks 36 has been a New England Boat. Under current owners she has been in inside heated storage for approximately 8 month per year.
She went under agreement in July of 2018 and was surveyed. There were no major items discovered during a thorough survey performed at the buyers direction and by their choice of surveyor though there were some items that warranted Seller attention. Those items either have been addressed by the Seller or will be addressed this fall when the vessel is returned to the yard. The principal items discovered at time of survey are as follows:
1. Cutlass bearing near end of service life. 2. PSS dripless shaft seal due for service. 3. either the engine rear main seal or transmission has a small leak (over course of 90 minute sea trial approximately 3 drips of fluid noted coming from the "bell housing". This is the cover over the joint between the engine and transmission. 4. The hose from the turbo charger to the air intake blew off after approximately 3 minutes at wide open throttle. Due to age of the hose the interior surface had become very slippery. This has been replaced and a full 6+ minute wide open throttle test conducted. 5. leak in the return fuel hose to the starboard tank (this has been replaced and engine bilges cleaned). 6. Several inches of detached fiberglass tabbing at the aft cabin bulkhead in the lazarette, this is non-structural. Again the owner already has made plans with his yard to address the items not already dealt with when she goes back to the yard
