Deck/Hull
Cabo Rico has quietly become known as one of the finest producers of blue water boats, and this is one of their classic designs that has withstood the test of time. The cockpit is compact and safe, ensuring that the occupants remain comfortable. The decks are wide and easy to move on, and the shrouds are out of the way outboard. There are safety bars around the mast to ensure one's comfort and safety when working forward, as well as grab handles all the way forward. The owner has also put on a Boombrake as a Gybe-preventer. BROKER'S COMMENTS
This boat is outfitted for someone who wants to go sailing on a regular basis, whether it is short day sailing, overnight trips, or long passages. The critical structural items have been maintained, replaced or upgraded. A good example of this is the replacement of cable steering with EDSON ROD steering. It is a durable system which does not stretch or jump sheaves. The standing rigging was replaced in 2007, reducing the risk of rig failure substantially. There are numerous redundancies, including the A/P, monitor steering, and of course the wheel itself. There are numerous spares, including a complete and running engine and transmission. The seller is willing to assist in delivery of the vessel to most East Coast locations.
