General Description
The Hinckley 43 was designed as a fast cruising boat, building on the beamy keel/centerboard designs of the Hood office and their lead Naval Architect, Dieter Empacher. These designs proved that you could combine shoal draft, excellent sailing characteristics, and the volume needed for comfortable long range cruising.
Though built in 1976 (Hull #1428), you will note in the following that Incorrigible has benefited from a thorough, ongoing program of upgrading to keep her fresh and up-to-date. Construction and joinery is typical "Hinckley" and will provide safe and comfortable cruising and club racing for decades to come.
