Enter the Salon from the wide and Dodger-protected companionway, down 5 teak stairs into the spacious 2-level Salon with well-equipped U-Shaped Galley to Port, opposite are two single settees with Nav Station and updated Electrical Panels & Battery/Inverter Monitor above to Starboard. The U-Shaped Galley includes updated 2009 Adler-Barbour 12V Refrigeration with a Power-Plate Holding Plate, updated 2009 Origo 4300 Electric/Alcohol Stove, a Microwave, double SS Sinks, & plenty of cabinetry and storage for blue-water provisioning. Plus, the Galley is close to the center of the vessel, where the motion at sea is most gentle.

Forward of the Galley and down a step, is the Salon & Dining area with long and deep convertible Settees with storage cabinets and open shelving above, a custom teak dining table in the center with hinged folding leafs that open on each side , and all the way forward is a full-beam Head with vanity, sink, toilet and separate shower. 

Aft of the two single settees to Port is a Walkthrough Passageway leading aft with storage shelves, cabinets, drawers, and hanging lockers outboard, and excellent access via a sliding door to the Engine Room inboard, which has its own opening portlight for light and ventilation. All the way aft is the Master Stateroom with V-Berth, sink & vanity forward of the Berth, and a private head with toilet and shower to Port. There is additional full ccess to the Engine Room, Mase Generator, refrigeration system, shipboard pumps, as well as to all sides of the Perkin Engine via a door in the Master Head.

There are 6 Deck Dorades providing plenty of ventilation, screens for each of the two opening deck hatches and 12 opening portlights, and curtains for all windows fixed windows in the Salon and Galley area. A 2009 Mermaid 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner and Heater with digital controller ensures comfort all year round.

This 1975 Westsail Center-Cockpit 42 is rigged as a Cutter Ketch, and has extensive rigging updates in the past 10 years, including:
