ACCOMMODATIONS: Main deck layout provides for office forward, raised pilot house, galley with serving area, main salon with fireplace and dining area and semi enclosed aft deck lounge area. The main salon is equipped with fireplace and bookcases forward, also with TV and entertainment system. Fireplace is installed as a component system, with "Martin" chimney system, labeled as UL listed.
Lower deck layout, accessed by forward stairway, includes two staterooms with bath as well as engine room amidships. Lower deck layout, accessed by aft stairway, provides for master state room with en-suite head, along with two guest staterooms and bath.
Sun deck layout includes davits and storage area for two tenders port and starboard amidships, along with sun deck area aft

ENGINE and MECHANICAL PROPULSION
MAIN ENGINES
TYPE: Two six cylinder inline diesel inboards by GM/Detroit, type 671, ganged together thru a Falk Gearbox to drive a single propeller shaft. Reported as 135 hp each.
INDICATED HOURS: 2016 – port 3338 - starboard
THROTTLE CONTROLS: Positrol by Panish, mechanical lever/cable type, serviceable.
EMERGENCY SHUT DOWN: Pull cable shut downs, new condition, at the pilothouse helm station.
ENGINE MOUNTS AND BED: Wood beam engine bed stringers port and starboard. In conjunction, adjustable motor mounts are bolted to the stringers and are used to align the engine to the hull stringer structure.
SEACOCKS AND STRAINERS: Engine raw water intakes are bronze seacocks, double clamped and operable. Inline strainers. It should be noted here that the thru hulls and seacocks are in recent condition, installed 2009
TRANSMISSIONS
DRIVE TYPE: Twin diesel engines driving a single Falk gearbox, turning a single propeller shaft.
PROP SHAFT: 3 1/2" steel with stainless steel tail shaft, intermediate bearings reported as recently serviced.
PACKING GLAND: Bronze four bolt flange type, with separate hose and seacock for raw cooling water supply adjacent. Seacock was found to be in like new condition and operable, hose was in like new condition and serviceable.

VENT LOCATION: Port and starboard side decks, serviceable.
FUEL FILTERS: Dual Racors per engine, plus engine mounted spin on secondaries, serviceable.
Plumbing-----
HEAD/BLACKWATER SYSTEM: The vessel is equipped with three Vacuflush heads by Sealand. It should also be noted here that the plumbing was recent for the head system, reported as installed 2009. Raw
water supply is the vessel's fresh water system, specifically the aft tank. Waste is directed to a poly waste tank located port aft engine compartment and on to a deck pump out plate located port side deck, clearly marked for WASTE. A below the water line seacock, new and bronze is located port forward engine compartment with a Sealand macerator pump, also with an inline Y valve with padlock assembly. And USCG Marine Sanitation Device type III, holding tank.
SHOWERS: The marine heads are equipped with showers; each shower is equipped with an Eemax 120 volt inline instant water heater, recent condition. Vanities and head basins were also recent condition.
FAUCETS/FRESHWATER SYSTEM: The vessel's freshwater system is supplied from two painted steel tanks, with a reported capacity of 800 gallons, located aft engine compartment and aft bilge. Pressure is supplied by a 12 volt pump with an inline screen/strainer located starboard aft engine compartment. The vessel is also equipped with a dockside water pressure regulator located engine compartment. Tank fill is located port and starboard side decks aft, and are painted blue for water. Water lines are plastic tubing and PVC piping, serviceable. A

EXHAUST SYSTEM: Dry stack exhaust, cast iron riser to lagged dry section, discharge is via stack mufflers, Pyrometer noted at the pilothouse helm to monitor exhaust temperatures.
ENGINE ALARMS: Engines are equipped with audible and visual alarm system, noted at the pilothouse, reported as recently rewired and all working.

Mechanical --------
WINDLASS/GROUND TACKLE SYSTEM: Ideal 12HSB forward for ground tackle, also with vertical after deck windlass, also Ideal brand. Deck switches forward and pilothouse switching for windlass. Safety retainers on each anchor rode, both 1/2" galvanized BB coil chain, securely shackles, RODE-reported as 250',
120 lb. Danforth anchor and a spare with rode inside of chain locker... Bronze hawser pipes in the forward bulwarks.
AIR CONDITIONING UNITS: This vessel is equipped with a Mitsubishi heat pump system, and four units located throughout the vessel. M/n R410A, Mr. Slim, recent condition. This system does not use raw water for cooling; previously used seacocks were found to be in new condition and capped off securely.
STEERING SYSTEM - TYPE: Hydraulic, by SeaStar, (Teleflex) with one station at the bridge deck helm. This system is recent, installed March 2009. Emergency tiller noted aft bilge.
PACKING GLAND: Compression nut type packing gland, bronze.
BILGE PUMPS
LIST: Seven twelve volt submersible automatic pumps, also with engine driven crash pump capability with manifold system forward engine compartment. Valves are operable and labeled... Manual bilge pump in the aft hanging locker.

BULKHEADS: Forepeak is isolated with a collision bulkhead. Drainage is thru a 2" gate valve accessed from the hanging locker in the forward cabin. Lazarette is isolated with a collision bulkhead. Drainage is thru a 2" gate valve accessed aft in the master owner's stateroom. The general bilge is divided into three sections, forward, engine room, and aft bilge by the bulkheads forward and aft in the engine compartment
TRANSOM: Canoe design.
CHAIN LOCKER (DRAINAGE): The chain locker is forward with drainage to bilge.
KEEL EXTERNAL: Reported as 15" x 7" white oak, with fiberglass coating overlay and bottom paint.
LIMBER HOLES: Limber holes are of adequate size
CONDITION OF HULL (WETTED SURFACE)
BLISTERS: None sighted in the fiberglass overlay; this is a wood vessel with a fiberglass shell, reported as installed 2007. Fiberglass is approximately 3/4" thick. Random percussion soundings made over the hull molding gave no readily detectable evidence of structurally significant laminate debonding or voids. Small cracks in the shell were noted to have repairs being performed during this survey.
THRU-HULLS: Above the water line thru hulls are in the immediate vicinity of the appliance or fixture they serve
Bilge pump discharges are recent hoses, with check valves and siphon break loops above the
water line.
NOTE: The below the water line thru-hull valves on this vessel are ball valve type, bronze, bonded, with securely clamped hoses, , renewed March 2009.
DECK CONSTRUCTION
TYPE: 1 1/2" x 2" white pine, fiberglassed over with 4 1/2" x 1 3/4" White Oak deck beams. Drainage is thru cutouts
in the bulwarks, and aluminum freeing ports aft deck. A vinyl type faux wood has been applied as a non-skid
surface above.
AFT DECK: Aft deck with sundeck over the top, and fully enclosed with tan Sunbrella and isinglass,
DECK FITTINGS
STANCHIONS: Painted wood stanchions with wood bulwarks and varnished caprail, boarding gates port and starboard, All deck hardware original, bronze, well bedded and secured.
BOW PULPIT (BOW RAIL): Raised bulwarks, painted wood.
VENTILATION: Deck hatch aft over the master stateroom, provides an alternative/emergency escape routed from the aft stateroom. Port lights port and starboard, opening style bronze. 6" ducted vents for machinery spaces, using natural and forced ventilation.
GRAB RAIL: Painted wood hand rails along sides of super structure and others at various locations on vessel.

WINDOWS/PORTS/DOORS: Cabin windows are of the sling/ratchet down design, wood framed with glass.
CANVAS AND COVERS: Aft deck area is surrounded by isen glass and canvas (2009), serviceable.
FENDERS: An adequate array of fenders were observed on board the vessel at the time of survey.
DOCK LINES: An adequate array of dock lines were observed on vessel at the time of survey.

FIRE SUPPRESSION: A shallow well type pump for wash-down has also been plumbed such that a fire hose with nozzle is attached to the system in the chain locker located foredeck, serviceable system.
BILGE WATER ALARM AND SAFETY SWITCHES: Three separate high water alarm float switches, forward bilge, engine bilge, and aft bilge, with annunciator and visual indicating alarm noted pilothouse.

SURVEYOR’S COMMENTS – The subject vessel was personally inspected by the undersigned on June 10, 2013 and was found to be a well constructed, appointed and comfortable vessel.
THERE WERE NO "A" SAFETY DEFICIENCIES NOTED ON THIS VESSEL
IT SHOULD AGAIN BE NOTED HERE THAT THE VESSEL WAS FOUND TO BE IN ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION,
AND THE LOW NUMBER OF FINDINGS FOR A VESSEL THIS AGE, IS REFLECTIVE OF THAT. THIS PARTICULAR VESSEL WAS RELAUNCHED IN APRIL 2009 AFTER SPENDING 4 MONTHS ON THE HARD, WITH UPGRADES BEING PERFORMED SUCH AS NEW WIRING, NEW BOW THRUSTER, NEW BILGE PUMP SYSTEMS, NEW HEAD SYSTEMS, ALL NEW THRU HULLS BELOW THE WATERLINE, AND NEW STEERING.
FULL TIME, DAILY MAINTENANCE IS ONGOING . THE LOW NUMBER OF FINDINGS ABOVE IS REFLECTIVE OF THIS REFIT AND THE CONSTANT MAINTENANCE SHE IS UNDERGOING. THIS SURVEYOR REALIZES THAT IT IS EXTREMELY RARE TO HAVE NO FINDINGS ON A VESSEL OF THIS AGE, AND REMINDS ANY READER OF THIS SURVEY THAT THIS VESSEL HAS BEEN RECENTLY REFIT AND IS UNDERGOING CONSTANT MAINTENANCE.
As a result of my investigation, as shown in the SYSTEMS AND FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS section of this REPORT OF SURVEY, and by virtue of my experience, my opinion is
OVERALL VESSEL RATING: **** ABOVE AVERAGE
''ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION'', has had above average care and is equipped with extra electrical and electronic gear.
The surveyed vessel was found to be in above average condition for her vintage. She is recommended for use as a coastal passage maker. The vessel is nearly completely original, with the addition of a fiberglassed over hull coating below the waterline. Reported as being built at Camden Shipyard, designed by Geerd Hensel.
The vessel has had ongoing upgrades and repair, including rebuilding of both generators, adding block heaters for engines, new engine gauges, and a raw water washdown/firepump upgrade.
