With only the mainsail in heavier winds, they reached 19 knots.There are three sleeping cabins including a large master forward. Only the finest materials, machinery, electronics and rigging were used, including 5083 marine grade aluminum, Yanmar diesel power, ICOM radios, Furuno GPS, Simrad instruments, and Sparcraft mast.The Simonis Performance Cruiser was designed by Alexander Simonis, a Dutch naval architect whose designs have won international acclaim including boat of the year at the Annapolis boat show 2001-2002. A similar design finished in the top five in a recent Fastnet race in the U. K., and his firm has recently been awarded the design contract for the next South African America''s Cup yacht. Harvest is a comfortable, fast, performance yacht suited for world wide blue water cruising. The lifting bulb keel, and twin rudder arrangement reduce draft, giving access to shallow water areas and thousands of additional anchorages and harbors.
