This Grand Banks 49 Motor Yacht is a serious blue water trawler with classic style and accommodations. She is heavily built and designed to take you anywhere, in any weather, and do with comfort and style. Whether you are planning a weekend getaway, to live-aboard, or cruise to the islands this 49' trawler is ready to accommodate. She features a pilothouse with sun deck, aft deck, large open salon, and two staterooms to insure room, comfort, and convenience.
On deck we start at the top with a custom (marine engineered design) pilothouse. The upper helm station is equipped with twin Pompanette swivel helm seats and a full complement of electronics and controls. Electronics include: two Icom VHF radios, Raytheon chart plotter, DGPS, and auto pilot, Datamarine Deep Link System with depth display, speed display, and wind display, Furuno Loran and SSB radio. There's room for friends and family with convertible guest seating with table. Table lowers and converts to a queen berth providing an additional stateroom with a 360 degree view. The sun deck has an awning, table, and room to relax. A few steps down is the large aft deck with room to entertain.
Wide teak decks lead forward, there's a ladder down to the swim platform, and starboard side entry to the salon.
The salon is bright, airy, and very teak with large L-shaped settee with dining table to starboard along with a bar & ice maker and easy chairs port side. Forward we find the lower helm to starboard. The lower station is equipped with a full complement of Furuno, Raytheon, Datamarine, and Icom electronics. Opposite the helm is a custom teak computer work station. The galley is down and features teak cabinets, solid surface counter top, stainless steel double sink, Princess three-burner range with oven, GE microwave oven, B&D toaster oven, B&D coffee maker, (two each) Technicold refrigerators and freezers. Port side you'll find a Whirlpool washer and dryer.
There are two staterooms. The master aft stateroom features island queen berth with night stands, desk, vanity, dresser, hanging lockers, and book shelves. The ensuite master head has Raritan Crown toilet, vanity with sink and shower. There is a second head with shower port side, between the stateroom and salon. The forward guest stateroom has v-berth with under-berth storage, cabinets, and hanging locker. The guest head compartment is port side with Raritan Crown toilet and vanity with separate shower stall to starboard.
The Bear is powered by twin 375-hp Caterpillar diesel engines designed for economical and dependable performance. They consume 7 GPH @ 9 knots. Mechanical features include: a Onan 20 kW generator, a Kilo 8 kW generator, a 400 GPH water maker, a clothes washer & dryer, four Marine Air HAC units, and Halon automatic fire suppression. She is well equipped, professionally maintained, and ready to cruise.
