The Morgan 36 was conceived as a fast, seaworthy and comfortable racer/cruiser with exceptional appointments. The hull was designed to the IOR (estimated IOR rating is 28) rule by the international renowned Nelson/Marek design team. Her characteristic IOR sections give her excellent performance, both on and off the wind.  Morgan offers a choice of Keels. The deep draft racing fin for the competitive minded sailor (like the boat listed) or the shoal draft where shallow water predominates. Her spade rudder and a minimum of turns stop to stop at the helm give her a sports car type handling and maneuverability. The aft cockpit with bridge deck was designed with both safety and comfort in mind. The deck layout includes inboard main chain plates for close hauled sheeting and an abundance of maximum size winches for simple and efficient sail handling. With 12 bags of sails, there's a sail for every occasion. The interior has a contemporary look, and is about 5yrs old, with very much a "today look". With lively dark blue fabrics and contrasting teak wood tones accent a segregated yet efficient use of space.
