| This 127' vessel is designed and constructed as a typical Dutch North Sea Beam Fishing Trawler. These vessels are proven to be exceptionally strong, safe and seaworthy. This design is perfectly suited for its present use at the southern coast of Africa, considered by many to have the most treacherous ocean seas anywhere in the world.
The powerful 1850 hp Bolnes diesel was down-rated for better fuel economy and range to 1200 hp during a complete rebuild in 1998. It has had relatively little use on it and will provide decades of continuing operation. The vessel has great range with its 40,000 gallon fuel capacity.
It has been converted to accommodate 21 crew members which is more than normally are berthed on these type of trawlers. There are good quarters in and behind the aft situated superstructure. The enormous fish hold which can hold 1200 42 kilo fish boxes, along with the very large forepeak, can be converted to a huge and comfortable interior for use as an Exploration Vessel, Research vessel, Expedition Yacht or luxury Trawler Yacht.
This is and can be the ultimate go anywhere vessel. Excellent opportunity for reasonable conversion to suit Buyer's needs and requirements. We can assist in developing the plans, specs and quote any conversion or refit project. This is a decommissioned EU Fishing Vessel and cannot fish in EU waters but may fish elsewhere and is otherwise unrestricted. |
