BENETEAU BREAKS AWAY AND CREATES A NEW BREED, THE SWIFT TRAWLER 42 Drawn by the renowned firm of Joubert/Nivelt in cooperation with the Beneteau engineering office, the Swift 42 launches a new niche of ?passagemakers? with the ability to travel at a rapid pace in sublime comfort while carrying a crew in seas that many typical cruisers would find too challenging. Through use of a sharp entry and stepped hull lines refined by Joubert/Nivelt over many projects, the Swift 42 is expected to cruise at mid-teens to mid-twenties, dependant upon the engine size selected. The hull form should also provide a smooth ride with dampened motion even in steep chop, while the advanced combination of balsa and FRP laminate will quiet her progress.
On top of her design emphasis of sea-kindly passages at quick paces, the Swift 42 will offer; upper and lower steering stations, a generous salon with an adjoining galley in a panoramic deck salon, a large master stateroom with a queen sized island berth, en suite head and separate shower, plus a guest cabin. The interior will be finished out in the beautifully varnished joinery work that is a hallmark of Beneteau, and her system offerings will be ?haute couture?. A true yacht-like flavor will be evident throughout the Swift 42, from her sizeable flybridge/entertainment platform down to her spacious, well engineered engine/generator room. Rendered in an innovative neo-classical style, the Swift 42 will be a standout in any harbor.
The Beneteau Groupe have been building boats for more than a century but they are known for their innovation in design and construction. Beneteau designs into every yacht - Style, Quality and Value for Money.
