Exquisite details, luxurious, interior, and efficient hull design only begin to describe the impeccable Beneteau 50 by Farr Yacht Design? Ltd. Constructed in France to the meticulous Beneteau standards of excellence, the Beneteau 50 is for those who demand the best on land and on sea. She is a wonderful cruising vessel that has been designed with comfort and ease for sailing in mind.
Jasmin is a bit different from many of the 5 cabin Beneteau 50's out there. The identical aft cabins with private heads are the same as found on any of them; the forward crew cabin accessible from the hatch forward on deck the same as well. In this case, however, the forward two staterooms have been converted to one. The berth is located in what was the port side cabin and extends all the way to where the center dividing bulkhead was. On the starboard side is a large straight settee and forward the two heads remain- one with a head and one with just the sink and shower.
The current owner sailed her throughout the Caribbean for several years and, having completed that dream, has decided to move onto other ventures. These boats are certainly ones where you can get a lot of boat for a little money!

Crew's quarters: Located forward and accessed through a hatch, there are two large bunks on starboard and a sink and head.
Master stateroom: Rather than the usual four cabin, four head layout so common in the Beneteau 50, this is the 3 cabin/three head layout. The center partition was removed and the bed occupies the port side of the space and is a generous 64" wide by 80" long. There is a shelf outboard and, forward of the berth, a hanging locker with a dresser top above it. This is mirrored on the starboard side, but a long settee has been installed where the berth used to be. This space is quite well ventilated and illuminated, with two fixed lights, two opening ports, two hatches with shades, two Hella fans, two reading lights and four overhead lights.
Forward heads: The owner modified these as well, utilizing the starboard head as the shower and the port one as the head. This allowed for a larger shower space. Both heads have sinks and mirrored medicine cabinets, an opening port and an overhead hatch with shade.
Aft staterooms: There are identical aft staterooms with en suite heads. Each cabin has a huge 6'10" x 61" berth, a hanging locker with a shelf above and a dressing seat beneath it and a shelf along the hull side. Ventilation and lighting is generous, with one fixed light, two opening ports, an overhead hatch with shade, one Hella fan and several reading and overhead lights. The heads each have an opening port, dorade vent, mirrored medicine cabinets and storage beneath the sinks. There are electric shower sumps in each and all of the surfaces are easy to wipe down fiberglass- clean-up is a cinch!
Saloon: With a huge C-shaped dinette and an island seating area as well, you can comfortably seat eight for meals in this boat. The island seat has storage beneath it as well as tons of lockers on the back side of it for galley storage. The teak top of it can serve as a place to put buffet items or additional dining items, flowers, etc. should you desire. Behind the dinette backs there is more storage and a shelf and pair of lockers is outboard and above it. The aft end of the dinette seating doubles as seating for the nav station, which is aft facing on port. Electrical and electronic controls are conveniently located here and the nav desk top is generously sized.
Galley: The galley on the Beneteau 50 is huge, with seperate freezer and refrigeration lockers, a Force 10 stove & oven and large double sinks. Storage space is both extensive and convenient to access. There is certainly more room than most would need to prepare meals, whether for just two of you or large groups.
The entire area has high ceilings to accomodate almost anyone and is quite well lit and ventilated. How's this for saloon ventilation & light- 2 fixed lights, 4 opening ports, 4 overhead hatches with shades, 2 dorade vents and 2 Hella fans!
